| Rest in Peace Dearest Jackie I have felt that something was not right for a few days now and it has bothered me so, but I could not put my finger on it. I have been weepy all through the weekend and very emotional and it seemed that the slightest thing would/could make me cry. I was so confused, because I knew something was wrong, but I knew not what. Well, I just received the call that Jackie ( my late husbands parents loving dog ) has passed away. I knew something was wrong, because my heart felt as if it was breaking all over again these past few days and no matter what I did to try and get by it ... the grief was solid and would not budge. You see .... when my husband passed away from Brain Cancer his father adopted this most wonderful little Weimaraner puppy and lavished all his love and attention on him. He helped us all get through so much pain and sorrow and he was just the most loving and devoted dog . He seemed to know how very much we needed him and he was constantly by our side offering his beautiful and unconditional love daily. I remember when he was a puppy he just loved biting my toes and I would have to lay on the couch with my feet up in the air or he would just nibble on them constantly. LOL What a precious memory this is for me and I will always treasure how when I would visit them up at the farm he was always the very first to greet me with joyous abandon and follow me around with kisses and love that was ever so welcoming. He truly was an angel sent from God to help our hearts heal and I know now that Nick ( my husband ) was waiting for him with open arms and gratitude for taking such good care of us in his absence. I cannot even begin to tell you how much he will be missed and our hearts are broken with losing him, but we know that he is not alone and is now taking very good care of our beloved Nicholas. |

| Oh Im so sorry to hear about this. My heart goes out to your family and you. RIP sweet Jackie. I know what you mean about him being a crutch for your family to get through a hard time. I truely believe animals are pure and have the ability to heal us completely.

| I'm so sorry you are going thru so much heartache. The fact that you sensed something was wrong shows how great the bond was that Jackie formed with everyone. Just think of your DH and Jackie hiking thru the fields of flowers together Over The Bridge and hopefully that will bring a smile to your face and a warmth to your heart. Hugs and God Bless you and your family.
