ahh ha,,, i live in Liberty. it's a wonderful place to live!! the schools here are rated amoung the top in the state of MO, including Liberty High School which IS the #1 school in the state. there is no ghetto in Liberty, meaning that though there may be a house on the street that has a few trashy folk living in it, we don't really have a neighborhood that is full of nothing but trashy people. there are always good people in almost every area of Liberty, there are a few lower income housing places and apartments and duplexes that draw a lower income sterotype that can be trashy at times, but there is not an area that is stictly ghetto or dangerous. we have a very low crime rate here, great police protection and wonderful community. there are several trails and greenways, good parks and a great community center great churches in the area, amazing VETS including THREE pet hospitals and even a Petsmart/Banfield (we go there) You'll love it, it's mostly middle-upper class good old nice citezins who work hard and take care of their homes and families. DAYCARE: go to La Petite Academy...a certain yorkie owner or two can be found working there and teaching little ones!! anything else u'd like to know!?!

the ONLY ugly i can really think of is...avoid Spring Ave. and Richfield Rd. area it's got the duplexes and lower income housing. and also, 152 hwy over I-35 during rush hour is HORRIBLE!! good luck working on the other side of "the bridge" meaning anywhere over I-35 which is technically Kansas City, walmart, and all our shops and our restuarants are OVER THE BRIDGE and it takes forever to get through traffic at 5:30pm hope u move here tho, it's wonderful! you will love it.

Franklin or Lillian Shumacker...but don't let schools be your reason for choosing something, there are no BAD schools in Liberty, just because Spring Ave. has lower income and some not so wonderful families throughout doesn't mean their local school is bad, there is Claywoods Pkway that all goes to Shumacker too and they are very very wealthy and high end families. it's very spotty all over. we have great and wealthy areas mixed across the street from duplexes and lower income so don't trust schools nearly as much as subdivisions....we're moving to Canterbury which is wonderful and goes to Alexander Doniphan which i have heard is the best elementary school, or used to be, they are all great though. good luck
