Hi Y'all. I am also from Kansas. I am from Caney. It is right on the Oklahoma line just north of Barlesville, OK on highway 75. Also just 18 miles from Coffeyville and Independence.
I don't have a Yorkie yet, but I am looking for one. I have a Westie and I want to get a Yorkie. My granddaughter also wants one, so we are both looking.
I have a granddaughter who lives in Pittsburg and is going to PSU there and another granddaughter who will move in with her in January to also attend PSU. If somone knows of a good deal on some Yorkies, let me know. I can't wait to get one. They are so precious and my little Westie ( who is 6 months old) really wants a playmate besides me.

I dont know how much your looking to spend or if you want a boy or a girl but I got Mason from Girard Kansas from a vet and i gave 500.00 for him..She gave me lots of extras, going to neuter for free and has a lifetime guarantee.(most breeders are only a year).Shes wonderful. I dont know if she has males but i know her females are around 600-650. Actually stacisnyder on here just bought a male from her....I refered her to laura,the vet. Shes wonderful!!!! Let me know if you want her number and stuff!! :)

That is cool that you are close. I just got my yorktese from the vet that ytsirk27 is talking about she is a very nice lady. Try looking at the big nickel there are usually yorkies in there. Good luck on your search. I am also a student at PSU.

There is also a breeder here in Fredonia, but I'm not sure what she charges, I'll be happy to find out for you if you want.

We're from Kansas, too. We're in Wichita, and we got our little guys from a breeder in Moundridge.

Someone on another thread told us about an upcoming Kansas YT get-together. Anyone know when and where?

Staci--You should've came up to your parents this weekend to watch them build the Extreme Home Makeover House!! It was sooo cool, and the house is freakin huge!! And I saw Ty Pennington!!!!!!!!!! He's sooooooo HOT!!!! :D

I know my brother wanted to go soo bad, he even cried becuase my mom did not take him :( . My mom was mad at herself for not taking him and she tried to find soemone to take him but no one could. I wish I could have been there it would have been soo exciting.

Thanks for the info on the get-together Staci. I think Fredonia is probably a little farther than we want to drive for a Sunday trip, but maybe we can organize a Wichita meeting sometime soon since there's so many of us here! Hope you all have fun on Sunday! :)

It is an hour I think from Wichita. Wichita is a three hour drive so I think that is why we made it in Fredonia. Jessica is coming too from Wichita maye you guys could go together,, just a thought. It would be cool if you guys could make. Hopefully we can get another set up soon though.

I just found this site today, and very glad I did. I am finding a wealth of GREAT information for a new yorkie mom. I get to pick-up my new baby, Gracie, on Friday. I CAN'T WAIT!!! I've been shopping for all the essentials, but now it's time for the fun items to spoil this precious girl! My husband says no more dogs (I have a Carrian Terrier, Max) but it sounds like you can't have just one yorkie. BTW, I'm in Lenexa, KS :aimeeyork

I got my yorkie in Kansas. There aren't many breeders here and I was so lucky to find Pippin. She is a very small Yorkie, just perfect for me. AND she only cost $300.

Hello everyone, I am a newbie here. I own Verpoochie and Pawda, designer dog clothing line. I am breeding yorkies. They are authentic Verpoochie and Pawda pups. My yorkies are championship bloodline. I have 2 teacups and one standard. My FiFi (standard) will be coming into heat soon so we will have puppies. I am still trying to figure this forum out for photos. Im not to good at it yet. I also breed Shih Tzu's, have 4 beautiful babies now only 3 1/2 weeks old. AHHHHH

Does it count if you're from Kansas? I live in Texas now, but was born in Hugoton. My Dad was raised in Greensburg and my Mom was raised in Kinsley. I've always liked being from a low-key state. I just tell everyone Toto and I came down on a Greyhound!

Hi all, not sure about a yorkie meetup here in my area. I have Shih Tzus also and there is a meetup for them, very lovely lady organizing it but Im to busy to go. Maybe someone should set one up. I am just outside Overland Park.:aimeeyork

I am from the ElDorado area originally. I've lived here in Ok. for about 4years now and am getting ready to move to Tx. Kansas is a GREAT state!

I used to live in Galveston then moved to Clearlake, thats just 5 minutes to Houston. If you visit there you must go to the Boardwalk, and by all means take your yorkie.
