Hello everyone! My name is April and I just joined Yorkie Talk. I have a 10 mo. old super yorkie named Tucker. He is the best dog ever. Very athletic, and fragile doesn't apply to him. While I always tell him no and that he is going to hurt himself, his favorite thing is leaping off the sofa, bed, anything frighteningly high, etc. He is almost 10 lbs, and thus not the typical size yorkie. I don't know if I would have purchased Tucker had I known he would be this big. Now, I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm glad the breeder wasn't exactly forthcoming about his size, or so I try to positively think. A smaller yorkie would not be able to do the things he loves and play the way he does. He is a very hardy little guy, and very active. Sometimes I do wish he would take a break though! Bottom Line: I love my yorkster and I am looking forward to being a part of this community of yorkie lovers!

Welcome! I have two yorkies. Bo is 5lbs and Duncan is17lbs. Duncan is my teapot and very energetic. I think the bigger ones tend to be on the hyper side. Anyone else with a teapot that is hyper? I would not have him any other way.

Welcome! I have a hyper little york as well! The first few months were peaceful when she was a baby, the all of a sudden she was into everything! I know what you mean about jumping, sometimes I want to get Addison a superman cape, she jumps off everything! It makes me cringe, I would hate for her to end up needing surgery because of it. I just can't stop her! I hope you find a bunch of friends here on YT. Welcome to Tucker too!
