| Choosing a New Yorkie Babe Hi: I am new to this site. On Friday, I will be choosing one of two female puppies for a new addition to my family. I put my 14 year old Yorkie, Sadie to sleep in June and now I am buying a new dog. What should I consider in my new pup. One is smaller than the other. I am looking for sociability and extrovert qualities. What else do you suggest? Thanks for your help |

| Watch the news tonight. Here in Cleveland (Brookpark) division of Marines - we had 6 Marines killed Monday and 14 today. Most ever killed from one group and it is so sad. It was on the National news also and they did a beautiful tribute but the rest of them that have to go will be a wreck. Remember them in your prayers.

are trying their best to breed to the standard. I think you should get a written guarantee of at least 1 yr and would prefer 2 yr on anything genetic. I would look for a nice clean home and the area where the pups are kept should be spotless or you will have a devil of a time house training your pup and the looks of it give you a good idea of overall care. If its a kennel and they won't let you see it, I would advise you to look further. I got my Crystal from Roberta Rothenbach and went to Chicago to pick her up (it took me a year to find the right one) after my Molly had to be put down. You must be heart broken; these little ones become such dear friends but we can't let them suffer - they are counting on us when it comes to the end of their life to make it easy for them. There is a woman in Orrville who is great to work with and although she is getting to be one of the top show people, is very down to earth and easy to work with if these two don't work out. When you say small - how small?? Did the breeder give you an idea of the weight they might mature to.............my best advise is be fussy. I've never seen a Yorkie that wasn't sociable but alot can be much too hyper for me. Don't get me wrong , I love lots of energy and Crystal still has it and is going strong for 11. So take your time and you can learn so much on this site. It's wonderful!! Go to the thread if you have time called Tired of Tea Cups how about a mug. It's so funny but you'll see how most of us feel about teacups. In the Yorkshire Terrier Standard there is not such thing as a teacup and in most cases you just get a sick dog. I'll send you a personal post with my phone # tomorrow and if I can help you in any way let me know. Please tell me you are not going to North Benton and Terry Wiley!!!

| Hi Crystalsmom: Thanks for the response. The Yorkies I am looking at are in an immaculate setting. I liked the breeder and liked the mother and father of the puppies(their dispositions and appearances). I believe they will be 6-7 lbs at maturity. Sadielady |
