| I am in Ohio too, a little below Akron just above Canton. We really should have a meetup with there being quite a few people close to the area!! I have been to New philly's park before, it is a nice park!!

| Does the New Phila park allow pets??? I don't remember as it has been awhile since we have been to Tuscora Park. I am sure a meetup is possible!! We should try to do something before summer is out!!

| I'm not 100% sure if they allow pets, but I'll check it out before the meetup. I'm probably going up that way sometime today, so I'll have a definite answer later tonight most likely. I'm thinking the meetup should be sometime in August, so everyone has time to plan and decide if they want to come. Also, I think Saturdays are usually the days most people can attend. I know that's when I can attend at least. So, as of right now it looks like it will be either the 4th, 11th, 18th, or 25th. Mostly we'll have hot dogs and hamburgers and everyone can bring a covered dish. Also, everyone and there dogs will get a door prize. I'll start picking them up now, so I'll have plenty before then. So, anyone who is interested in attending PM me and let me know, with your name, any guests you are bringing (husband, kids, etc.), how many yorkies and/or small dog breeds. No large dogs at this time, because we don't want any of the smaller dogs to be hurt, but any small breeds you have will be fine. More information as we set a date and I plan activities. This will be a blast. Can't wait!

And thanks for letting me know that they allow pets at the park, rrosenberry. Now the only problem seems to be that you have to rent the picnic shelters??? I don't know if we can get past that or not. I never knew you had to rent them in the first place. Can't we just go and scout one out. :P I guess, I'll look more into it. I'm sure they wouldn't have a problem with a group of people getting together to have a cookout without having to rent the shelter. I'm sure that's just to insure you have one on the day you want your get together or something.

| North Canton here! We're from North Canton. We just moved back to Ohio in October so we don't know many people in this area. We were in SC for almost 2 years. We'd love to come to a meetup. Massillon has a dog park. I haven't been there yet, but it might be an option if anyone is interested. |

| Really? The Chapel Hill one, too! It is sad that it will be gone, but the silver lining is that I got a $60 paper trimmer for $11 and a $35 sticker maker for $15! Is Jo-ann just losing a lot of business?? The one in Kent also closed not too long ago! -O

| The Stow-Hudson one was jamed packed all the time so we really can't figure it out. Sometimes they find closing some and putting them in bigger cities is to their advantage. I usually went to shop on the weekends so it could have been bad during the week but most of my friends said 'no' . There used to be tons of Ohio people on YT and there still may be. So glad you got your bargains......nothing like a sale lol

A dog park might be a better idea..or even Dover park..they have tons of room and no renting anything and not near the traffic/people like Phila..,may be better for the dogs to have less traffic/distractions?
