| Relocating to Illinois Hi, My husband, human son, furbaby, and I are moving to Rockford, IL. We was out there visiting 3 weeks ago and thought the area was beautiful. If there is anyone that lives in Rockford or in the area, please let me know. I have a few questions regarding the area. My husband's job is relocating him to the area. I am specifically looking for a good furniture store in the area. Thanks!

| I work in Rockford and live about 30 minutes away. Hmmm.... good furniture stores?? There are the usual, American, Slumberland, Value City... if cost is not an issue, there is Ingrassia over by Cherry Vale Mall. I happen to like Leath (East side of town) on East State Street and Gustafsons (West side of Town)in the old North Towne Mall. Welcome to the area. I just got my baby on Saturday. What a joy! Let me know if there is anything else you need. |

| It would be great to get together. It is so funny. I have only had Nicki for 6 days yet, I find myself talking about her all the time. Her accomplishments- like waking me up at 6:20 to go outside! I hope she keeps it up. Have fun in Rockford. |

| I will let you both know when I am officially in Rockford. I was just there this past weekend taking care of some things. I can not wait for us to get together. We will be living in an apartment initially and it would be great for us to have a place where our fur babies can get together and really have a ball and tire themselves out. Kiki loves playing with other dogs. Are there any good places indoor or outdoor where we can get together. I would love to have something indoor, so they don't have to be on a leash and they can really have a ball.

| Ohhh this is my first post...I'm so excited to have found this forum! I live about 30 minutes from Rockford...just down 90 in the Algonquin/Carpentersville/Barrington area. My little guy Jack is almost 2. I would love to meet people in the area who also have Yorkies! |

Welcome to YorkieTalk! This is a wonderful place to share information and get information about your baby. I have a male Yorkie also. He will be a year in October. I will be in Rockford officially at the end of the month. I think we should plan a meet up. Kiki loves to play with other dogs. I think it would be a great way for them to get exercise and tire themselves out. I am hoping you all that live in the Rockford area can start doing the research on a location. I hope to get our babies together a few times before winter hits.

| Jack's birthday is in October too...October 11th. He loves to play with other dogs...but as a boy...I always get nervous when they play in the house. He has a way of wanting to mark his territory. |

| Cary/Crystal Lake is the next town west of me. You'll find you'll get to everything off from 90. Chicago and the burbs have become so exspensive to live in that people keep moving farther and farther west and north west where new homes are being built in what used to be farm land. It makes for A LOT of traffic and cars, but again the home prices are much more affordable. If you get a map of Chicago and it's surrounding counties you can find 90 and see all the towns along it. |
