Well doesn't look like the DH is gonna go for it !!

I asked if he wanted to make a trip to Akron and he said No, and asked why? I said so that I can go to a TY meet up and he and the kids can go to the zoo. Well he laughed at me and he said that it was stupid.

I said, Well maybe to you but not to Me...

So, it looks like I still have some work to do if I am to convince him to take me. It wont be easy !

I do have family in Akron that I could stay with if I could get there.

No need to stay at a hotel here as I live only 2 hours away. We really do need a meet up time so does anyone have any problems with around 2pm

Coming back from Illinois yesterday and had time to go a little out of the way and check out Bow Wow Beach. They have two areas for small dogs. One is a secured area, fenced in, a little sand play area, one tree and a park bench. The other area is an unsecured small do area. It is fenced in area around a section of the beach. The fence goes about a foot into the water, so any big dog that wants to get into the small area can. It happened a few times while I was there. So be aware while there. That area has about four trees and a bench in the grass area, but the beach is nice. I am going to take a small cooler with me next time, because the water fountains are in the building across the lake. It's not a big lake, but it's probably a five minute walk over to the building. So a little FYI. There is also a play area with ramps and tubes over in the main area, so depending on how frisky your yorkie feels with big dogs depends on if you want to go over there. There were some small dogs in the main play area, and were getting along well. The people watched their dogs and kept them in control. (even the ones that that came through the water to the small area). I am looking forward to going again, I seen someone posted about 2:00 that would be fine, but I'm not sure how everyone feels about the possible heat of the day and the water situation. Either way I didn't look at hotels in Stow, but I came back through Streetsboro which is about a short ten minute drive and they have a selection of hotels I haven't checked to see which if any are pet friendly. Great reconnasissance work. We will get the cooler ready - and look at hotels in streetsboro also. We will have to come up the night before - otherwise if we run into traffic or anything we would not make it. If we start at 2:00 we may have to spend a second night. I think it is about a 6 hour drive for us. Really, hope I can get work arranged. Cali will love it

One thing I forgot. If you GPS bow wow park using the 5070 Stow Rd address it will take you to the park office, across the road from the park. Bow Wow Beach is actually in Silver Springs Park I also included some pictures.

Well I have given it much thought and as much as I would love going and seeing and meeting new people. I just cant see making the trip with the economy the way it is. Money is tight and plus the heat is going to be a big factor with my babies and me. I hate the heat, its 104 today in my town...yikes! = (

Hope you all have a great time and I would love to see pics of your time together.

Oh wow..... there is a HEAT advisory for parts of Ohio for today!

Please Please be cautious and prepared for anything. I would really hate to see one of you or your fur kids be affected by this crazy heat wave we are having.

I canceled our family plans for today because of the heat. It is an outdoor event.
