| Vet recommendations: Barr/Lk Zurich area Hi Everyone - we will be bringing our new little Yorkie girl home from "Greens Treasured Yorkshire Terriers" (Brenda Green) the weekend of March 7th. So we need to find an excellent veterinarian or group in the Barrington/Lake Zurich area. We can expand to Hoffman, Fox River Grove/Cary, or Dundee area, probably would not want to go much farther than a 10 mile radius, to have quick access in case of emergencies. Ideally, the vet would either specialize in toy breeds, or be very familiar with Yorkies. Also, she will be spayed in June or July, so we would like a vet who has a very good reputation for his/her surgical abilities. There are a few vets in the area I plan on visiting, but I thought it would be good to first seek the advice and experience of the Yorkie owners on this list. Thank you in advance for your help, recommendations, and guidance! Gray |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Welcome and congratulations. I live in the far north suburbs and use Grayslake Animal Hospital but that is too far from you. Can't wait to see pictures.

| Think I've found one... ...at least for our initial visit. I have now had 3 enthusiastic referrals for the Barrington Animal Hospital, on Rt. 14 in Barrington. I stopped in yesterday and made our 1st appointment, and my first impressions were very favorable. I will post my experience there on Monday night, March 9th, for anyone else who may be looking for a vet in this greater Barrington area. Thank you so much for your kind comments, Patty and Breny! I have been reading and studying and buying the important accessories, in preparation for our special day! I will learn how to post pictures prior to coming over to your place, Breny, so I will be fully prepared to document everything right from our first moments! - Gray |
