| Hello from Warren MI Hi Everyone in the Great Lakes Area!! So great to have support with our litte ones. I have had my Snickers (6.5 months) since Sept and we love him more than words can say. I am in COLD and SNOWY Warren MI and do need some advice. I have some GREAT Pet Supplies stores around my home (K9 Specialties and MPS) but do any of you know of any other places who has free samples of GOOD dog food. My Snickers has been turning his nose up to anything I give him. He was on Merrick Puppy Plate for a long time and then I tried switching him to the BG Merrick and now he does not want anything to do with any of it. I have also just tried NB Duck and Potato as it seems successful for many people on this site, but he is again not hot for it. He is on UTI meds right now and I give him his pill with string cheese so not sure if he only wants that right now. He seems ALWAYS hungry. Thanks everyone in advance.... -Vivian & babyboy Snickers |

| Do you have a Pet Supplies Plus? Some of them carry Innova. You can always email companies and ask for samples. There may be a store not far from you that carries higher quality foods. Rocco's Pet Depot?

| It's not real close to you, but Specialty Pet Supplies in Plymouth is full of all the premium dog foods and offers many samples. They also offer a return policy so if you buy something and then he won't eat it, you can return it for a full refund!!!!!!! You'll have to keep on the lookout for announcements of our Michigan meet-ups and join us one day!!!!! I don't think anything is scheduled till February and that one is planned in St. John's. Lots of them are in the Lansing area, but usually Labor Day weekend is in Dearborn!!!!

| Greetings from a fellow Michigander Hello Vivian and Snickers! I am from Ovid (its in Central Michigan). I love seeing other members from Michigan on here. I just wanted to say hi, but I also wanted to share this post thats a sticky under the health and diet section. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...e-samples.html I went down the list and called everyone and asked for samples for yorkies. Some places didn't give out samples because its to expensive, but I did receive a bunch of them! I have a huge box full. I hope your furbaby finds one he likes from there. Enjoy the snow! I miss it, we don't get that kind of snow here in Illinois like we do in Michigan.

| PS Can I come to the Michigan meet-ups even though I live in Illinois now? I go home often and would love to attend one with my babies!

| You sure can!!! When there is one scheduled, usually a thread will get posted under the regional forum. Just found out the February one is on hold, so there may not be another till May. That one will be in Owosso!!!

| Hi there, I am from the Port Huron area..... I get my food at Pet Supplies Plus. My little girl didn't seem to be eating much when we had her on Wellness Super 5 (has too large of pieces for her), so I started mixing very small amounts of Wellness wet food (any kind) in with her dry food, and recently I switched to the new Wellness small breed. (I was so excited they finally carried the small breed because it is more balanced for the tiny dogs we have and it is MUCH smaller pieces, which make it way easier to eat) So now I mix a small amount of Wellness wet food with the Wellness small breed dry food and she will eat nearly 1/2 cup or so each time I feed them. (all in one sitting)(I also leave out food 24/7 in case she gets hungry inbetween her 2 big feedings a day) I feel much better watching her eat all that at one time instead of a piece here and a piece there. Your little dude may have been spoiled with the cheese (I can't even open a cheese wrapper alone in my kitchen because the dogs will come running from wherever since they know the sound of me doing that so well) So good luck on his feedings. P.S. I feel like her potty training has gone better since I have been able to feed meals that size to her, she is on a little schedule now and I love waking up in the morning without her leaving me a little 'present' ! |

YT 1000 Club Member | Hi and welcome to YT!! You will love it here!! We attended the Labour Day meet last year and it was amazing!! Even my hubby enjoyed it and he was amazed at how well 25-30 yorkies could get along!! I used to feed KiKi Merrick Puppy plate (canned & dry) and I switched to Wellness (puppy) dry...this is available at most private pet supply stores. Good luck!

| Hello to you and Snickers and Welcome to Yorkie Talk... This is the site for anything to do with Yorkies. I hope you find a food for your little one! I use Royal Canin adult # 27 for my 14 month old Yorkie and my 7 1/2 y.o. Papillion. They really like it. They've had no more skin problems and/or upset stomachs since they've been on it for 8 monthe now!!
