				   | I am so happy to be having the meet-up. Thanks everyone for offering help if I need it. I'm hoping to get up pretty early that day to make sure everything is done when you all start to arrive. Just want to remind everyone about bringing x-pens, anyone that has them it would be a great help if you brought them, I don't have one myself. I am also hoping to bring my cornhole set, so if you have games bring them if you can. Me, Billy (DH) and Bandit can't wait to meet you all!! If you want to sell anything make sure to bring that with you, there are a few that have already said they were bringing stuff with them, so don't forget to bring money with you too so you can buy stuff. One week and 2 days to go!!!!

				   | Hello and hope everyone got through the high winds yesterday, okay. We lost our electricity for over 24 hours. How did the rest of you do? There was wide spread damage around here and most of the schools in Northern Ky. were closed today. It sounds like there were lots of problems in Ohio, too. I have attached two pictures from our little street. 1. Neighbor's roof that was blown down 2. Other neighbor's tree blown over Tammy and Lisa - Did you have the winds in Indiana? I am so happy to have electricity again!

				   | Lisa- glad to see you have power again. No cold pizza tonight. It was fun hangin out today (a nice taste of what it will be like when I retire). Hope everyone else in the area is doing well. No school for me tomorrow, only 5 of 19 schools have power.

				   | In our county the wind gusts got up to 75mph! Alot of houses have roof & siding damage. Lots of tree limbs down and we had one house that a tree fell on. We were lucky that our power only went out for about 4hrs. My brother, my friends and my co-workers are still without power tonight. I know they are saying anywhere from 24hrs to the weekend! I hope everyone is safe!!

				   | Coming home from Put-in-bay Bay on yesterday was an experience.. From Troy ,Ohio to Cincinnati all the gas stations and resturants were closed due to high winds and downed power lines. As we were driving and kept hearing how bad everything was in Cincinnati and not to mention all the debree flying over us in the car. I was worried about my babies. I had left my 6 Yorkies with a women who has watched them before. As we got off the expressway on Cincinnati we saw trees up rooted and debree in the roads. We were panicing about our house and babies, we couldn't drive fast enough !!! Our house is on a cul -de sac with dense woods behind our house.Fortunatly we only suffered tree limbs (big ones ) and a ton of small debree everywhere in our neighbor hood. We got home around 4 pm our neighbors told us electricity to our house had been off since 1pm. Our babies and are house were fine. Watching them out in the yard last evening was a hoot. They did not know what to make of all the debree and did not want to stay out very long. Power was restored about 11 am today. Asley my Daughter lives very near you do you have electricity yet,?? |

				   | Janie - Glad to hear you returned from Put-in-Bay safely! I bet that was scary driving and thinking about your furbabies. So, was New Year's in September fun at Put-in-Bay? Did you like the B and B where you stayed? Can't wait to hear about your trip.

				   | Lisa there were 7 couples in our group. We all stayed in various places and met up every afternoon and evening. Our B&B was perfect. Great caretakers , wonderfull filling hot breakfast each morning. We were 2 blocks from the "downtown" shopping and bar area, We were the closest to downtown of the couples and they were all jealous of our location( I knew our B&B was the closest one to downtown when I made our reservation) We could drink and walk home every night !!! The theme of Put -in -Bay is a quaint little fishing village with a drinking problem. We are all going back next September !!! |

				   | Hey everyone!! So I had a crazy weekend. I just got power back last night surprisingly since Duke said it could be Saturday before I get it, I guess I got lucky. So Sunday when the power first went out, me, DH and Bandit all just layed around and I was laying down looking out the window and I seen our awning from our front porch fly off the building and I sat up in time to see it land on my car!! Then it slid into my DH's truck then went flying down to the end of our court without touching anything else. I immediatly freaked out and ran outside to see the damage. Well luckily I drive a pretty good car lol and it wasn't that bad, I have lots of scratches and all over my hood, my roof both quarter panels, my door and the headlight covers, my DH just has a dent in the side of his bed. so I am working with the landlord and my insurance to get it fixed, I hate rental cars but it looks like i'm going to end up with one. I'll attach some pics of the damage. I was so scared we wouldn't get power back in time for the meet-up, the Yorkie Gods are looking out for us lol. I had to take all of my food to a family members house that got power back before us to try and save some of it, we didn't get to save much at all, we basically have to start all over with the fridge and freezer. I finally got a shower this morning just in time to have to go back to work lol. We weren't allowed to drink our water and we had to conserve as much as possible. But anyways all is good other than my car and everything is on schedule for Saturday, I can't wait to meet everyone, I hope everyone else didn't have too much damage. Ashley & Bandit

She is due on her husbands birthday and 3 days before mine so I want her to come early but not a week early lol. | Little Davey has been diagnosed with juvenile diabetes, his fasting blood sugar today was 446. I had taken him 2 weeks ago to the emergency vet at PNC and his ammonia level was 414, he was put on lactulose and Amoxicillin. My vet advised me to get another opinion and I did with a vet in Michigan. This vet has trained at U. Michigan to do Portal shunt surgeries. At first he advised to do exploratory surgery and if there was an external one visible to apply the device that over a month would close off the vessel and give time for the other vessels to the liver to dilate to compensate for the blood flow. He checked his urine with a multi stick and it was positive for glucose so he did the fasting glucose. He now advises the surgerywould not be warranted and he would not have any quality of life and I should seriously think about putting him down. My daughter has been crying on and off for 2 weeks now since this is her dog. |

				   | Oh no!! I'm so sorry to hear about Davey My prayers are with you and your family. Your daughter must be heart broken, as I'm sure you are too!! Making a decision like that is soo hard to do. Sending hugs and prayers!!
