| Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | When we first got Lucky, my first yorkie, I was totally into the "Yorkie" look, so even though he was a boy, I HAD to have a topknot. Rather than a bow (which my hubby was against), I found a little bag of buttons shaped like dogs, dog heads, bones, etc (see picture). I attached them to a rubber band and used them for a little while. But as time went by, I got over it (him having to have a topknot), and now we keep his hair shorter. We also have a female yorkie now.....she will always have hair long enough for a topknot and bow, barrette, or some sort of decoration.
