Floppy Ears (OVER A YEAR OLD)

My quess is at that age and the ears are still floppy they will always be floppy. You could always shave them and tape them to try to get them up. It cant hurt to try

And the pic is of my Toby not Teddy...I have 2 regualar yorkies and

and Indigo's are down. Teddy most commonly carries his like he's a bunny
rabbit. Where Indigo's look just like your Teddy's exactly. HIs were up
but fell and he's allergic to any sort of tape so we decided to just let

And no I have never in his 3 years had any issues with his ears being
down.

Where genetics are concerned...I really can't say for certain since
I have seen many who's don't stand produce pups who's stand up
perfect.

Where in the UK are you from? I have a great pen pal from Bristol
who I actually met on here when I joined almost 3 years ago.

My Daisy is 3 years old and her ears have never stood up straight. I like them floppy and think she is adorable.

Daisy is adorable you are right, I didn't know so many Yorkies had floppy ears, I love Teddy to bits, with all your comments and lovely photo's I
actually think it makes them more unique and special.

It def. must be something with the name LOL My Teddy is a yr and 3 months old and also has floppy ears. I love them tho

Madeleine has floppy ears too and I love them...I never tried to make them stand up.

harleys ears where both down when we first got him then one stood up then he got groomed 2 days later and the other stood up. now i guess he is teething and both are down now. we love him any way they are. here are pictures of the progression.

My oldest girl has floppy ears. If you have tried everything like taping and clipping, then there is no hope, it's probably genetic. I tried so many different ways to keep my Penny's ears up, but with no luck. Her ears are way too big and heavy to stay up. Did you look at his parents? Did they have floppy ears? The only problem with floppy ear is that they can get infections. Floppy ears gets more dirty than erect ears.
