| What a roller coaster!!! Wow! Ever since we got Sam, I can't believe what an emotional roller coaster it has been. Let me take you all on the ride! Day one we found out he had ear mites. Aargh! Ear drops for 10 days. Also, only one ear was standing up. (some of you may remember my post about this) Week one - he ate some bad puppy treats and had a drop of blood after going poo. PANIC!!! My wife, the nurse, calmed me down. Explained that he would not die that night and we could take him in if it continued. It cleared up in one day. HOORAY! Week two - His other ear stood up! YEAH!! Handsome little fella! This week - He ate the little plastic thing off of the door stop behind the door. Swallowed it WHOLE! About the size of a chapstick lid so we were worried he might not pass it. We checked his poo every day looking for a big white thing. Nothing for three days. Yesterday...SUCCESS! He actually threw it up! We were so glad it didn't do more harm. This morning - Went to get him out of his crate. He wasn't too excited to get out and then I noticed that he had thrown up again inside the crate. (WHAT?!!! We have been so careful about what we feed him!!!) There on his bedding was a little curled up WORM!!! AAAAHHHHH! It looks like a roundworm. Back to the vet today to take care of that. Since we got him, he has had three full days of no accidents on the floor. Yeah! Then the next day he'll have multiple accidents. Aargh! We have LOVED having him around! He is so sweet with the kids and eager to please. I'm sure at some point things will level out and we'll all be more even keel. I'll post some pictures one of these days when I'm at home and when I have a second to resize the files. Good times! |

| It has been so awesome. My wife at first was not excited about getting a dog, but she has completely fallen in love with Sam! There is nothing like the excitement Sam shows when we come home or play with him! Every night at about 10pm, he just grabs whatever he can and runs around, tossing that item in the air and flipping it around. He races around the house growling and jumping off things! It is the FUNNIEST thing to watch!! We LOVE IT! It's amazing how attached we've become so quickly! |

| They are a lot of fun. I love to watch them to see what they are going to do new and differant. Enjoy. When he gets older things will settle down for you all. It just takes time, patients.
