| Therapy Dog Donating Member | I totally agree - Izzy is almost 10 mos old and although she is about 90% potty trained we still have accidents but those accidents are far and few between and usually because we are not watching her or in her case she rings that darn bell to often..hahaha....don't know if she wants out to potty or go on squirrel patrol. I'm also a believer that training is an everyday thing...you never stop training your dog no matter how old they are!!!

| I agree that it is irritating, but I think the people who do come to this forum to complain and/or have unrealistic expectations from their puppy are at least making an effort to start educating themselves. Better late than never I guess. I usually try not to post on those threads though because I am scared that I will say something and it will come off critical (due to my irritation at these people). I know the last thing I would want is for me to scare off someone who is at least making a last ditch effort to do the right thing. |

| Everyone knows that people here are willing to help someone who has a real interest in getting the help. What I have seen lately is unreal and when anger enters the picture, I want that dog in another home and I've said it. I too hope people like this don't have children and compare them and mess up their lives. There are those that just know how to push our buttons and yet it's hard to know if they start a thread for just that reason.

| Right there with ya, Wicket 8mos old and some days we take steps backwards instead of going forward on the potty thing, Why are they so darn stubborn? he lease train but there are times in plants those 4 furry feet in the ground and will not move. I really think they have a little mule in them, I don't care long long it takes to potty train or how stubborn he is, He is my world and I wouldn't trade him for anything, and he knows it. |

| I agree with everyone's opinion about those that complain about their little babies. Before I got my Max I did tons of research about the breed and about dogs in general to make sure that my husband and I would be able to take care of our baby. We are a young married couple and don't have plans on having kids for another 5 to 7 years but we wanted a dog that would love us. We agreed and got Max. It hasn't been easy but we have not regretted our decision for a moment. He gave a new meaning to our marriage; even though a lot of people don't understand b/c they said he's not a skinbaby but he's our furbaby. He's good with his pee pee pads but still has accidents. But when you look at the situation most of the time it's because of an error on our part not because Max felt like peeing on the carpet or kitchen floor. Like this morning by husband moped the kitchen floor and didn't put a pee pee pad for Max so he peed on the floor and I walked into the kitchen and stepped on it. I didn't get mad @ Max but at my husband for not putting a pee pee pad for Max. So I don't know how people can just complained about their babies. I actually get mad when people say something not so positive about my baby.

| I agree completely with what everyone has said. I know that I haven't been consistant with Kayla. I am having back surgery the 12th of Nov. and I have had horrible pain for along time now. We had to put our male schnauzer down in May after having diabetes for 2yrs. He would have been 14 in Aug. We love our babies so much, but I would complain sometimes when he would go out and get muddy because the little girls hated to get wet. They could go out and potty and come back in clean. Well, after losing him I wish I had one of those little paws to wash again. I have cried buckets of tears over him. I wonder if people just say stupid things they don't mean sometimes. I have never regreted getting one of my animals. When we got Kayla in Aug. she was 11 weeks old. She has been such a joy even though she is not potty trained. She is 4months old and I know it takes time. My schnauzers were trained in nothing flat but like I said I have been in pain and I am not as consistant as I should be. I blame myself alot. I hope this surgery leaves me pain free and I can devote more time to her. She has been such a joy and blessing to us after losing our baby boy. Like someone said the key is patience. Everytime that little baby licks my face and trys to pull my earrings off, I could never stay aggrivated at her. Max would look up at me when I was washing his feet and I could not stay mad long. I can still see that little face. Now I'm crying!! Who could ever regret getting something that loves so unconditional. |

| I don't get it either...Its like someone coming on here complaining about their stupid two year old son or daughter not being pottytrained yet, and always getting into things they shouldn't...well, duh! Thats what a baby does, and thats what a yorkie does too. These people either need to suck it up, and treat their furbabies the way they should, or give them to someone who will.

| I'm with you guys. To some people they have a yorkie or other toy dog just to say they do. They really don't want to deal with the dirty stuff. Bathing them, cleaning their poop if they have an accident. It's just for show. |

| Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I know!!! I makes me mad too! and the worst part is their attitude after they get our advice, they act like it's a lost cause and they are not willing to put any effort on effective training |
