| I Need Help!!!!! We are flying to NY for Christmas...will be leaving Dec 22 and returning on Jan 2. Hubby bought the tickets for us a long time ago and he bought them from Southwest Airlines. I just found out that they do not allow you to travel with your dogs!!!!!!!! not even under cabin!!!!!!!!!! they said only "special assistance dogs" are allowed. you know the ones that lead the blind, deaf, etc..... so it is looking like i can't take my baby with me I have a little time on my hands...but I need to find a place for my baby to stay I am so sad about this. I have never been away from her for this long. I am going to go NUTS. my best friend would watch her...but she just comes to the house and lets the dogs out and feeds them. there is no real interaction. I would love for her to have a place to go where she would get attention and have other pups to play with. I really don't know what to do. I know there are lots of YT members that have BIG hearts....I am reaching out. can anyone help me????? I know how hectic the Holidays can be....so this is asking a LOT. I just don't know what else to do

| I wish I was close. I'd watch your baby in a 'heart-beat'! I have tried to travel with my babies and I have had to always avoid Southwest because of their policy on animals. It stinks! Next time try Continental. I have always found tickets with them for less than Southwest on Orbitz. Good luck, girl!

| I would never ever let Ellie go on a plane alone but is that something you are willing to do with Maggie? Could you just send her on another plane and meet up with her? I totally understand if that's not an option though.

i am going to stop by my vets office and see if any of the assistants there would want to watch her. they have all gotten to know us quite well and seem to really adore her. it is just hard because of the time of year. everyone is so busy for holidays.

| I have never personally left my baby at a pet hotel but I know my older brother has done that with his two beagels. He's in the Air force an there are times were is is called and he needs to leave the dogs behind. I believe they have been taken care of pretty good. Or may be a dog sitter that can go to your house. I totally understand if that's not an option though. This would be a good idea if your willing to do it and don't want to leave your baby behind. Just make sure she gets to NY around the same time you do. Good luck in finding someone to take care of your baby. I which i lived closer to you, I would of volunteered to take her while you were in NY.
