| Male or Female ...Brother or Sister Now that Spirit is 3 years old and our 1 and only child has gone off to college we are thinking of getting Spirit a friend. The only problem is we don't know if we should get her a female or a male to play with. There is a woman local selling her Yorkies for $1200 and can be picked up tomorrow she has 3 girls and 3 boys. Any suggestions! We use the same vet so the vet will let me know how the puppies are tomorrow. Thanks for your help. Spirit's Mom

| Since you are buying locally, if I were you, I would just go visit them and pick one out based on which one you like the best and then look and see if it is a boy or girl. |

| We did look at them and we really loved the runt of the litter and that is a girl. She is tiny and full of energy. I just wonder if two girls will get along. If it is as simple as just choosing the one that grabbed at my heart then I will choose the runt.

| I sure do wish I could. The price is a little crazy in my opinion I could never justify spending the money for 2 of them. But if money was no option I would do it in a heartbeat.

| Maybe take your dog with you to the bredder and she how she reacts to other female dogs. Has she had problems with female dogs in the past... it is common to have this problem.

| Yes Spirit has had problems with females but I was hoping that she would feel like the mommy of this little girl like we brought her a friend. I always think boys may have trouble lifting their leg to mark their territory.
