| New member and new owner - I have ???s I've owned dogs all my life, but this is my first Yorkie. I bought Harley 2 weeks ago. He is 17 weeks old and weighs 2.6 pounds. The breeder seemed to be a good one and even gave me a 1 year guarantee on his health. My vet wants to wait about neutering him until he weighs a little more. I've read the thread about the wiry hair and I'm concerned. My breeder said his color had "broke" so it shows him to be what? I tried to attach a picture, but it is too big. How do I convert it to a thumbnail so I can upload it? |

| Welcome to YT! There are a lot of people on here who can help you with the picture thing. I can figure it out on my own but not well enough to be able to walk someone else through it. Good luck. Can't wait to see pics!

| go somewhere u can resize your picture (I use paint) and just make it smaller and save it. I always save it in seperate file so I keep the original file too. And then you should be able to upload under manage attatchments down at the bottom. |

| He's cute. His hair doesn't look wirey at all to me. Looks like he'll have a nice silky coat. Breaking coat means the color is starting to change....black becoming blue and silver then gold coming on top of the head and on the face.

| Don't worry about the hair, it may not change until later on. One of mine didn't break color until a little more than a year of age. And they all go through a somewhat 'scruffy' look. I think your baby is adorable. Welcome to YT! |

| HaHa..Lacy went through what I like to call her "awkward phase"...she looked so funny. Some yorkies will keep changing colors for a few years
