| New Member - Hi Everyone My name is Sharon and I live in a little rural town about 55 mi. SE of Houston, TX. I currently do not have a yorkie, but hope to have one soon. I recently became ill and I am no longer able to work. So now that I am home alone all day I have "yorkie fever" once again. I had my little "Gidget" for almost 14 yrs, but she died in 2004 and I haven't had the heart to get another one until now. I am hoping to find someone who has one that is very reasonable or is needing to re-home their yorkie, as I am on a limited income. Please let me know if you know of any. I am ready to spoil one rotten!!! Thanks! |

| Hi and welcome to YT! I'm from College station which is about an hour NW of Houston. Good Luck in your search for a yorkie. There are a couple of show breeders from Texas on here. I'm not sure of their prices but you might want to start with them.

| Rehoming Penny (yorkiekids) welcome Sharonlynn, good luck on your search for a Yorkie baby ... someone in FL is trying to rehome her Yorkie, but I fear that might be costly just to transport the baby ... I believe it is yorkiekids ... check it out!!! You might get lucky!!! I know nothing more about the rehoming .... and the Yorkie (Penny) might get lucky as well. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=99112 Quote:

| welcome to YT. I have 2 yorkies that were re-homed - they came together when they were each about 1 1/2, and they have done great - I have had them for almost 4 1/2 yrs. Here's a pair looking for a new home: www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98930 maybe you could get her to come down on the price

| Thanks Everybody!!! Wow!!! , Thanks for all the responses!!! I will keep you posted on my search for my new baby. I am really excited about it. One of the local adoption agencies was having an adoption at a PetSmart and advertised that they had a yorkie there so we drove over an hour to get there early only to find out it was a little Cairn Terrier. She was very sweet - but not a yorkie. I am trying to be very patient about finding my new forever baby. |

| Hello..... I am new here also and I am already addicted. I live in Texarkana, Texas. A ways from Houston but still a TEXAN. I don't know if you would be interested in the drive or not but there is a lady about 45 minutes from Texarkana that has a liter of Yorkie pups that are absolutely beautiful (she emailed me pics which I will be happy to forward to you if you are interested). She is asking 350 for the males and 450 for the females. She has both parents on site (they are her dogs) and she is very particular about who she sells to which to me is a wonderful thing since puppy mills seem to be a popular thing around here. Anyway, if you are interested let me know and I will forward you the information. |

| Yorkie Haven rescue in Texas has quite a few dogs. http://www.yorkiehavenrescue.com/ Some require a lot of medical attention so from what you posted this might not be the right way to go, but it doesn't hurt to look. |
