| New here. I am new here. My name is Leslie and I have a yorkie named Barney. I have had him for 3 months. He isnt my first yorkie. Although he is my only one now. Here is a pic of him and one I took of myself, lol. Any idea's on getting his ears to stand. I have shaved off hair but he likes to fight me. I am taking him for his rabies and kennel cough shot tomorrow so the end of next week he will get groomed and maybe she can shave his ears better. With Odie my last yorkie I shaved some and then they stood up on there own. Odie passed by the way. Yall think maybe Barney could be teething? |

| What a cutie Barney is. I have see lots of Yorkies with their ears down...they are cute that way too. I don't know how to help with that (taping?) but I know there are tons of helpful and informative people on here. Sorry to hear about Odie passing

| It sounds like teething. You can always try taping them up after you get them shaved.

| How old is he now? Generally, if they have not stood by 6 months or maybe a little later, then you are not going to have much luck. He is a cutie though. Welcome to YT! |

| He is around 5 months and I thought they were going up once. I am hoping it is just teething. Odies stood up with he was about 6 months. I guess I will get the shaved and taped...I hope I can remember how to do it,lol. He has a lot of hair on his ears. This picture is after we spent 20 minutes trying to shave them. He is ok with brushing and the little pony tails but hates the clippers. He looks so huge in these pics he is probably around 4 1/2 pounds. |

| Welcome to you and Barney. He is very cute. You could try rubbing his ears. I was advised to do this with Coffee and after MUCH rubbing it worked.

| Cute Barney and cute Barney's mom. My advice for ears is to have them shaved inside and out and tape them. Since he's already 5 months, it's very important to try something now before the cartilage has hardened. |
