Amber, any news? I thought of you and Tigger all night. I hope he is peaceful.
I know your heart must be breaking. My cat Jesse is getting so old, we had her at the vet on Friday and he says she is now senile(sp) and has kidney failure and we must just give her anything she wants to eat and lots of love. Which be do anyway. We are not even going away for the Christmas holidays this year as we don't want her to be without us till the end whenever that may be.

I will continue to pray for Tigger. Hugs to you and your family.

Is it possible for you to find a vet that can come to your house and have him PTS at home? I think if ever my pets are at that point, I would try to find a vet that does house call for that one thing. It's less stressful for them to be put to sleep in the comfrot of their own home. Also, your other pets can have the opportunity to say goodbye and know that Tigger passed on instead of them wondering what happened to him.

Amber, my heart hurts for you. There's nothing worse than having your beloved companion being sick and knowing it won't be long that they are no longer with you. You wish they could just lie down and peacefully go to sleep, but somehow it never seems to happen that way. I think it's God's way of reminding us how very much we love them and how important they've been to us. Tigger is such a lucky kitty to have had someone who loves him as much as you do and given him a life filled with that love and joy. He knows that you love him and he will go when he's ready. Just be with him and tell him all the things you love about him and will miss about him. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time.

Prayers and hugs from us too. OUr cat is 16, and it's pretty much day by day. She doesn't seem to be in pain; just lost and disoriented, so I can't bring myself to PTS just yet. I wish that she and Tigger could just travel together..........

I am so sorry you are going through this.

It doesn't seem fair to have to lose a beloved pet. He is very lucky to have such a compassionate person in his life. Sending hugs your way...

I have Stormy he is 14 yrs and I know how hard it is. when I read your post I went in and layed with him for a good long while.

I will keep Tigger and you in my prayers. I pray that he just drifts off to sleep and is at peace.
