Haruka and I finally got the registration. So Haruka is officially a therapy dog and I am a handler!!! Woohoo!!!

The smallest vest they have is for "up to 7 lb" so it is so big for Haruka. But here it is!!

Now I cannot bring Haruka to work yet. But after taking care of some big project at work, and give the proposal for her to be at work and be effective in services.. then she will be back!

I miss bringing her to work everyday... I am just waiting on ID too

Great, now what exactly does she do and with whom? Is she for you because you are ill or something or she will be visiting sick patients around?

Congrats!!! It's a long road (of training) to get there, but you did it!

Sammie has been through all her training and we are just waiting for the evaluation to be scheduled for our area. We're hoping next month. It is also with the Delta Society. We'll be going to the Shriner Burn Hospital in Galveston. I've already gone with the group (without Sammie, of course) to Shriner's and it was the most wonderful experience to see the children interact with the dogs! I couldn't take any pictures, because of hospital policy. (The kids are too disfigured and we don't want to make them uncomfortable.) But honestly, you don't see the scars once you meet them and see how joyful they are. I loved every minute of it and can't wait to take Sammie! (Now if I can just keep her trained until the evaluation....LOL)
