| As long as a dog is over 2lbs, it can be put under anaesthesia. Of course you want to do a blood work-up beforehand to make sure everything's healthy and it's safe to put him under...but you want to do that with any size dog. Also, make sure your vet is familiar with toy breeds and tinies

| My Jasper is a crypt orchhid and recently had his surgury and neuter, his lipstick showed and still does. you will want to have your guy neutered and depending on his conition and your vet"s recomendation, surgury as well.God forbid you dont want your pup to get cancer. My Jasper"s testicles wre in his tummy. When a male pups testicles dont desend by 12 weeks its usually a red flag. Good luck with your little guy. I went thru a lot of worry but everything is ok now, just am trying to gt him to leave his stiches alone till they are removed. Last edited by vviccles1; 10-20-2007 at 09:25 PM. |

| when you get a well puppy check by your vet when you get a pup, on the males they can usually tell if the testicles are in the right spot. My vet checked skoshi at his first time at the vet for his well puppy check and that was when he was like 9 weeks and they told us his were in the right positions and his are dropped and he is 10months also if you are getting the new pup to breed after this situation i wouldnt get a pup from the same parents. that is only if you are thinking of breeding it wether its male or female!!! Since it is passed down in genes that means if you breed the pup from this little then their pups might get it. If you are buying as a pet then i think you should still consider buying the pup. But definately let your breeder know about this. |
