| What are some things to expect when I get my new baby on Saturday? I mean, with my lasat puppy it was a breeze. Now I am taking my puppy to meet this one before we bring him home cold turkey. What are some things to expect from the Yorkie when he is ready for his long long trip back home by car? By long I mean 6 or more hours. Secondly, when he comes and wanders around the house as one member told me to do on another topic. Should I let him sleep with my first puppy or alone? He has not been crated at the breeder and is nearly 4 months ol, so I wont be doing that. But should they be in the same room to sleep that night or wait a few days? How are some ways he will react to me and the environment and the leaving his litter so late? What are signs to look for if he is unhappy or sad or frightened? |

| Buddy was 4 1/2 mos when I got him. However I did not have another dog in the house. I would monitor them for a couple of days. YOur other dog may not like the puppy jumping on him at first. If I went out I would keep them seperated until I knew for sure they are ok together. I would think he should be in the same room as the rest of you at night or he's going to cry being alone. You may have to crate him at night. I would until he was potty trained and you know for sure the two get along. Leave him free during the day behind a gate in the kitchen or bathroom for acouple of days when you out. Good luck and post pictures. Four months is such a nice age. Their full of energy. |

| Sebastian was a little shy when he first came here, but he jumped right up on my bed and slept with Piper when it was time to go to bed. They get along really well.

| Of course I intend to watch them. He will be happy he has a buddy after some days but at first I experct some hard core jelousy I dont crate my dogs. I have a kiddies door to the washroom which is a good size and comfy and warm, no windows I have a comforter on the floor so if this one wants to go on the floor at least it is not cold. So this new yorkie will be there. The kiddies door is low enough for him to see us but cant get out . This is where this one was house broken in. First puppy toilet and newspaper, and each time paper got less and less, then while the puppy toilet is still there, he has not used it in about 6 weeks, so he stands at our front door to be let out. If I ignore it, well the rest speaks for itself just a few minutes ago. This makes 5 weeks he had not done a doodle on the floor lol. Well new puppy will be in the same room and done the same way to house break. I dont like crating them, while they learn the crate, I do it differently. I make crate as a play pen and throw goodies and toys in and play fetch. So when travel time or vet time he goes quietly in the crate and I close the door, No problems at all. Hope the yorkie can do the same as this pupy has done |
