I still live to regret the night that our Cassie took so ill, that I didn't have a vet to help me in my time of our need. However God had Cassie in HIS arms and was leading her the way to him, that was the hardest night of my life. Hugs to you, am sure you were a help to the lady. Hope your babies are doing real good. | I know that is the hardest thing any dog.. animal lover would have to do... I don't even want to think what I'd d in her shoes. But at least that poor pup is in heaven running, playing. |

| I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | This is SO sad. You know, being faced with the decision of having to put one of my pets down is probably one of the things that scares me MOST in life. I honestly don't know if I would be able to make a decision like that. I mean I know that sometimes putting an animal to sleep is the only option if it is the best thing for that animal, but geez......I would just rip my heart out. My vet had actually told me in January of last year that I MAY have to make "the decision" with my Cocker Spaniel if the Cancer spot on her stomach ended up rapidly coming back after the surgery that she had to remove it, but unfortunately, my sweet baby girl passed away at the vet's office a few hours after surgery

| .........it is such a difficult difficult thing to go through.....I am glad you were there for her in some small way.........I think we are all crying for her now....there is nothing that makes that time easy ....it doesn't matter if she had 10 other dogs each one is so special and it really doesn't help at all when you are going through it..........we should all get turtles or something that will last forever!.......thank you for sharing this w us ..... |

Of course I still wish I had my baby here with me, but I am just glad that God put it in his hands and that I didn't have to make such a tough and awful decision like that, for THAT - I am very thankful.

| Toby being 16 and all, having ailments. Although he looks and feels great. I hope when its time (hopefully not soon) the lord takes him in his sleep. When he was sick in June I didn't think he was going to heal. My mom takes care of him for me since I work out of town, said it might be time but it was my decision. I couldn't handle it at all. Fortunately my vet said he's not in pain just uncomfortable and to wait and that he wouldn't put him down. Well I'm glad I waited, he's in the best shape I've seen him in over a year. |
