| General Patton is going to be big I am afraid to say. He will be 11 weeks tomorrow. I weighed him several days ago and the scale read four lbs. I am hoping it was wrong. He was the only male and the largest in a litter of three pups. The breeder said on the conservative side he should be 6 lbs. But if I double his weight at this point would mean he'd be eight lbs fully grown. He eats v.well and seems well adjusted to his new home and loves to play with Bella. ~Bella, General Patton & Maria~ |

| I have seen the chart that you use but I do not understand it. Pebbles is 6 lbs right now at five months and 6 days, how much will she weigh fully grown? Also, when is she considered fully grown, I have been given different times? thanks

| I've been told to expect yorkies to be fully grown at 6 months and to go ahead and switch their food to adult food then, actually. I read it on this forum, there's a thread about it and that's what made me realize that I needed to switch Sully to adult food b/c there's too much unneeded fat content in puppy food once your dog is full grown. Here's a thread about that: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4054

| When I was at the vet Mya had on a rhinestone collar with 2 tags and a harness When he went to weigh her I was already subtracting like I do for myself....the clothes, the change in the pocket....hahahaha Anyway she was 2lbs at 9 weeks and now....Naked....at 4 months she is 3lbs 6oz. She gained a whole pound in like 3 weeks...I was thinking she was going to be like my 25 Lb "teacup" Pom. As long as she can fit under an airplane seat I will be happy. The woman I bought her off of said she would be under five pounds. I found her breeder and he told me most likely she will be 6 pounds. When I think back to when I lugged my kids arounds that is not bad at all !

| yes, it's a great post, I just read about it...here's a comparison for you. I got Romeo at 15 weeks and he weighed 3.2 lbs. Now, at 6 months and a few days he weighs 3.4 lbs. Both his parents are 5 lbs.

| Maybe he could date Maggie the "Mag-Wad". She weighed that much at 9 weeks too. Now she is 4 months old and 4.3 lbs. I prefer to have a baby with some meat on their bones. They don't seem quite as fragile. That is only my opinion. Other like the very tiny ones. It really doesn't matter, because you fell in love the day you saw him.

| I got Chewy on May 3rd and he was 11 weeks and 1lb, 6 oz. He is now nearly 19 weeks and 2lb 7oz. It is predicted he will be between 3-4lbs once fully grown. |

| My baby was 2.75 pounds at 9 weeks and is 3.2 pounds at 11 weeks. I think that she is on the same track as Deegan's puppy. both of her parents were in the 6 pounds range so we were expecting her to be 6 or 7 pounds. |

| My breeder lied to my boyfriend who purchased Bailey for me as a wonderful gift. he told my boyfriend he was 9 wks and compared him to some other "9 week old" puppies and he was much smaller. it turned out he was really 7 weeks old and 2 lbs. At 9 weeks old he grew to 2.12 and now at 10 weeks he is 3.1. its like they grow before our eyes! i think mine will be about 8 or 9lbs. he is pretty thick. but like everyone said. more yorkie to love! my cousin has a 10 pounder who was 13 lbs. he is still perfect for carrying and having on your lap. he is also the best well mannered dog i have ever met. (besides mine of course ) |

| Well today we had our visit to the vet for vacs and a yearly and I was shocked when they weighted my baby princess she will be 13weeks on monday and today she weighted omg are you ready for this 5lbs. I could not believe it and my breeder said she was to be 6lb or less ya right but as long as she is a healthy girl also when I took her about a few weeks ago to get her boosters she was 10weeks and she weighted in at3.8lbs that means she has gained well over a pound since then so what kind a weight should i expect? I mean my brownie is 2 years old and she is muttalove she only weighed 10lbs today... so should I expect my princess to be just as big.. she dont look like she is 5 lbs but my god I was shocked just cause of the diff in just a few weeks. I dont mind her being a big girl just cause I do have a 6 year old son who loves to play and she is very playful and healthy I guess thats all that matters but I did kinda want my little one to stay little for a little while they are just like kids change so fast.. Also her hair has gotten so much lighter its like a silver on her head not black.. so I guess I will just have a lota yorkie to love... ![]() these pict were taken last night.6/24

| Hi everyone, I just recently got my dog. She is 15weeks old and ways 1lb 8 ounces. I was told she wont be more than 4lbs, which I hope is true. But I am unsure. I took her to the vet and she is a healthy little pup and I LOVE HER. What does everyone think. According to what others growing was it doesnt seem she will be big, but I am kind of worried. |
