Well maybe if that is what yorkie's are "supposed" to do I should rethink my choice of a pet :(

dog's are carnivores... what do you think they did before we started keeping them as pets and feeding them kibble? There wasn't kibble just out growing on the ground for them to eat. They had to kill other animals to eat. And a lot of dogs will still hunt small game if they get the chance. There's a food chain hierarchy and rabbits are far down on the list...many animals catch and eat rabbits. Humans of course are at the top of the food chain :p We kill all kinds of animals to eat

Ok The only thing I saw was that I thought the picture was in bad taste...
#1 rabbits carry all kinds of things...
#2 My Yorkies got a squirrel but I never even thoght of taking a picture of it! I wanted them to drop it. and I got them to.
#3 why did someone else post the picture?

Yes I didn't like the picture but oh well it is a open forum and post away.:D At least there was no Blood.

Given a fair chance, I would have to disagree and say that MOST yorkies would go after a bunny or other small game if given the chance...unless they were extremely timid and scared of the animal...they ARE predators by nature and it is in them from way back.

Bonnie does not chase small animals. I think the reason they do things like this is because you people buy those realistic stuffed animals for them to play with and you throw them which just teaches them to chase the real ones. That is why I won't allow Bonnie to have any stuffed animals...the only toys that are allowed in our house are balls and things like play shoes. I don't want to teach her to be aggressive.
