you guys would not believe all the calls that i got at work today and now getting at home. its amazing how this story has touch sooo many people. i've been contact by people wanting yorkies from jill, to people wanting me meet me and maddie cause they have a yorkie to heart warming stories of how a lady lost her husband when he was 42, the finally after years and years got remarried, then developed breast cancer, then her new hubby got her a yorkie to help her thru it. how she couldnt imagine being without her baby and how i felt being without maddie. people have touched my heart as much as this has touched there hearts. lewis just called me and said he's been on the phone all day long with people calling him too. he said, wow, this is so amazing and to think a little dog has brought so many people together....amazing. he sat down last night and wrote all of you a letter. i'm going over there tomorrow to pic it up and post it on here. he said the cards and all the info. is just wonderful and can't believe how great everyone is here. he dont have a computer and said he wouldnt know how to work on if he did. lol he not only is a great angel but a funny guy too. he said that sasha is starting to follow him everywhere he goes and he was really happy about that. he said she is still a little shy, but doing sooo much better. he is just thrilled by all of this. thanks again to everyone who has supported me, maddie and my family, thru all of this from heartache, to happiness. thanks so much. maddie has touched my life more than she can ever imagine. i think she has a few emotional issues. like i was gone for a few hours today and i couldnt take her with me. when i got home and let her out of the big bathroom, she just freaked out whinning and clinging to me. then whenever i put her down, she just wanted right back. do you think she is afraid to be without me again or something??? after about 25 minutes, she was back to her self. either she is having detachment issues, or she is just playing me for all she's got. lol Man i just love her and that cute little face. i'm sorry i keep saying this....but i just want to hold her forever and never let her go. i mean i thought we were close before, but you guys have no idea what the bond we share now. ok, i got a little carried away there. love ya all!!! |
Denise, Don't worry about getting carried away.. lol. WE LOVE YOU AND MADDIE! LEWIS TOO! The newspaper article was beautifully written. I loved the comments and added one of my own. As Mike was leaving to go do some night tests at work, he walked by the computer room and saw tears streaming down my face as I was reading the article. He just walked by and said, "more about Maddie? " lol Sonya |

Denise that is just wonderful about Little Shsha. I am sure they will bond very fast. She has to get used to her new name, and new forever loving home. She has an Angel for a Dad, how cool is that!;) Maybe Lewis's ex-wife has a computer and when he's over there he could check in with us. That would be way cool.:D :D :D I printed out the story and I'll save it forever. Sending out special hugs to all of you from Princess, Katie and me :D ! :2hearts2: :ghug: :2hearts2: |
I've been following Maddie's story way back and I just read her story in your local paper, which is awesome! :) This is just so wonderful.... I really don't know what to say.....I'm speechless.....:) |
What a touching story and the newspaper did a wonderful job with the write-up. We're so happy Maddie is back where she belongs. This is all truly a wonderful miracle. ;) |
Denise, I am sure it will take Maddie a period of adjustment, so don't worry. There is a lot of energy surrounding her right now, and life will settle down. She has grown mentally and physically in the last few months also, been through a lot and all of this is a bit confusing. Take care and she may be feeding off your anxiety which is very normal. Warmly, Deborah PS This is the most wonderful story of love for Maddie. |
wow! This day has just been too much! I wanted to post earlier but whewieeee!!! Just so glad everything worked out and everyone is happy. I know I said it before, but How Great is Our God!! |

The entire time I was reading this story, I had a HUGE smile on my face. I'm so happy for you that you got your baby back, Denise. And, happy for Lewis that he has a Yorkie of his own now. The newspaper did a wonderful job writing the story :D (though, he kept going back and forth from "Mattie" to "Maddie" lol) |
