I woke up to your e-mail this morning Denise and saw that you had sent the link - so I jumped on YT to post and let you know that I am about to go and read it. I am sooo excited!!! :cheer: And that is SO COOL that they called it "Maddie's Miracle" as that is what I have been calling it this entire time not even know that-that's what they were going to use, LOL! Ok - enough blabbing! I am going to read! :D :cheer: |
Ok, now that I have stopped BAWLING MY HEAD OFF I can actually see to type, lol! Oh Denise...I cannot even begin to tell you how much reading this story warmed my heart. This is just such an unbelievable MIRACLE! I cried, and cried, and cried reading it....and the pictures were fantastic! I do have to say though, that in the middle of crying, I did let out a little giggle when I read the part about Lexie saying that Maddie is "With JEJUS" - instead of Jesus, lol. That is so cute and so sweet! Awwww! I printed out the article, and all the pictures along with it - and now I have to go forward the e-mail you sent me to everyone I have told this story too (which is a TON! lol) so that they can go and read the article too! :D I am just SO SO HAPPY!!! :happyboun Stedman says that he never knew his girlfriend would be such a STAR - lol. He loved seeing her cute little pictures in the article too :p Big hugs to EVERYONE (Denise, Maddie, Lewis, Justis, Jill, the kiddos) etc. etc. etc. LOL. EVERYONE is a hero in this story!! I just love you ALL!!! :ghug: |
Great story and so glad Lewis didn't pay those nasty boys for her. PS I was wondering if the vet should be apprised that they should be more diligent to check for microchips? Warmly, Deborah Next vet visit, I am going to find out if it is routine to check for chips when a new patient is scheduled for a checkup. |

So thrilled this went to print and got such play in your paper. Yesterday I told one of the editors at my newspaper about the story & he thought it sounded like a great story, and said he would be watching for it on the wires. Hopefully, they will find space to run the story here. So sorry they cropped Lauryn out of the paper - makes no sense. Most likely it was the page designer (the person who lays out all the copy and photos on the page). I don't think that would happen at my paper, because there should have been other photos to choose from to print. I know as a writer it is so frustrating to try and tell a story with so many elements when space is always at a premium in the paper. Or you tell the story to the best of your ability and an editor, copy editor or page designer trims it to fit the space and takes out vital ingredients to the story - just dealing with that myself today!! Is there a photo gallery also out online?? I tried to find one, but it just looks like the few next to the story. Too bad they left out yorkietalk.com - but glad to see those posting are getting it in. Wish we could put up the link on the first thread of of Denise telling the story -- that was so incredibly powerful! Praise God, that the reporter allowed Denise to tell her story & that it was her faith in God that played an important role in this whole miracle. |
ah, i feel a frog in my throat - holding back watery eyes! that's such a great story! dreams really do come true! :aimeeyork |
It still brings tears to my eyes. It's such a beautiful story and renews your faith in human nature. |

Denise, I hope you hear from Ellen or Oprah. They are both animals lover's so I won't be surprised if one of them get's back to you. Finger's crossed that it happen's. This is one story that the whole world should hear about. The world could use an uplift for sure. With so many depressing sad and sick stories in the news everynight this story will just melt everyone and put love back into their hearts. |
Oh my, where are the tissues? Such a heart warming story. Still gives me goose bumps! |
This is so exciting! I printed out the piece to show all my friends. If you do go on Oprah do you think she will pay for my plane ticket to come and see the show? :D :D :p Once again Denise, I am sooo pleased you have Maddie back and happy that Lewis has a little girl of his own. Well done everyone. Hugs to all... |
I'm still amazed at this story! I'm glad that they put it in the newspaper. I hope that it continues to get the recognition it deserves. :) |
