| Puppy coat? Sarge has fluffly semi-curly hair, will it stay this way, or is it merely his puppy coat? He's just under 10 weeks old, but I have dreams of letting his hair grow to the floor. Anyone know when they get their adult coat texture? P.S. Hes a yorkie/maltese mix, but I don't belive maltese have curly hair either...

| Gracie started growing her adult hair when she was 6 months or so. I have read on here that it can take up to 2 years for the coat to reach maturity. There will be many changes in color along the way.

| Teddy is half maltese too and his hair is cottony - it has a slight wave to it, but the cottony texture is what makes his impossible to grow out. It's a wait and see thing! Wavy or straight your baby is adorable! |

| Penny had very curly hair when I got her. Since her first haircut her hair is silky and straight.
