| Yorkies as pets I would like to get a small apartment dog that is good with other dogs. I was told that yorkies are a great option and I would love to hear what all of you yorkie lovers have to say about this. Obviously they would get more exercise than just inside the apartment. It's hard to do research online because they generalize all yorkies to fit one description and all dogs are different if you ask me so I would like to hear what all of you have to say about your yorkies! Thanks! |

| Welcome to YT!! There are many yorkie owners on here that have yorkies in apartments. They just take them outside a few times a day, and they use the pee pee pad when they are gone to work! |

| I live in a condo and I have a Yorkie. I think not only Yorkies are great apt. living pet but other small breeds as well. Each breed has it's own personality and maintanence upkeep. You need lot's of time if your going to own a Yorkie. They are a high maintanence breed. If you have the time for the upkeep of a Yorkie go for it. I would do some research on several different breeds then pick the one best suited for yourself. Even a mix yorkiepoo etc. all make great apt. living companions. Some are less expensive than other's also, if money is to be considered. Good luck in whatever you deceide. I am sure you'll find the perfect one for youself. |

| Yorkies make great apartment dogs if they're not yappy. You might also want to look into maltese and Chi's.
