| Pet Insurance? Does anyone have any? I saw an add at Kroger tonight but its around $55 a month for both dogs, is that good/bad. Heres what it says: *Accident and Illness: 7500 * Rountine Care Coverage: Max annual benefit of $220 * Advertising and reward: $250 * Boarding and Kennel Fee: $500 * Lost by theft or straying: $250 * Trip Cancellation: $500 And the annual benedit $9,000. It says its by Petfirst healthcare. |

| I think I'd like some with a little more routine care coverage.

| I don't have health insurance, but I thought I'd add my two cents.. When I first got Brooklyn, we researched getting health insurance for both him and Britney. It just didn't seem worth it. It most cases there is often a deductible. And lets say something would (god forbid) happen. I could just pay the money that I would have paid for insurance. Even then, chances are nothing would ever happen and I would have "wasted" thousands of dollars. |

| I thought the same way.. Right now we don't pay that many vet bills, we did once we first got them.. and maybe if they get sick when they are older, but $50 a month, for pet insurance, is a lot. |

| We got VPI Pet Insurance for Riley. You just never know when you might need it. Here is the website in case you want to read about it. They have pretty good coverage I think... http://www.petinsurance.com/ |

| I think a smart option is taking that $55 a month and putting it in a savings account and using that as accidental insurance money. At least then it's still your money so if nothing happens you're okay but if something does you have some money to fall back on. I haven't done much research but what I've heard of pet insurance is that it's overpriced and doesn't cover much. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I have VPI on my 2 yorkies but not on my older pom. She has had a ton of vet and specialist bills (4000) since April and no insurance I have gotten way more back on Cali and Pixie than I have paid in so far. I know it's a gamble but I can easier come up with 55 a month than thousands all at once. JMO
