| She is a cutie.....when I clicked on her pic it showed "GaShow". Is she a GA girl? Her coat is dark...sometimes that means she will be soft coated.....you can tell by looking at her feet.......but, i dont think so....maybe modified silk..... She is really sweet, who is her breeder? | Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | I went to Meetup.com and joined some groups in my area. There was a gentlemen that posted some pictures of his girls and they were just stunning. I sent him an email. He asked what particularly I was looking for. And I said a darker colored yorkie that would stay sort of small. I was afraid of buying from a backyard breeder who could breed genetic defects or you know...potential dangers. Anyway, the breeder actually actively shows his dogs. She just happened to be too dark and small...which are not points for showing but it was what I wanted...lol... He has answered all my questions, given me advice and I am really confident with the whole transaction. That was important to me. He has referred me to a great vet in the area that specializes in the small breeds. Alot of people try to sell Tea cup yorkies or these 2 lb yorkies and then they have problems later in life that will cost alot of money to the vets. This is really scary to think about when you are buying a dog. I mean it is sooooo hard to be confident and comfortable. So I think it is a little more then I was planning to spend, but the quality of this dog gives me peace of mind. If you want to contact him about any other dogs he has available, give me your email and I will pass it along. He is very involved in placing them in a good home. I dont think he just sells them to any body. He kind of gives you an interview. lol...I guess I am lucky now that i have reread this! haha! |

| She's a cutie. Atleast now you don't have to go through all that puppy stuff age.

| What a beautiful girl! As far as bonding- I got Sugar when he was 17 months old and I always call him my doggy soul mate. Absolutely no bonding issues, it was love at first site for both of us. I think when it's right, it's right and it sounds like you have found the baby that was meant for you.

| One more thing to add- I've found that going through the puupyhood definitely doesn't guarantee a bond. I got my first yorkie, Gracie at 8 wks (too young I know but didn't know then). She could not have been a more loved and babied puppy. She went everywhere with me, I held her and fussed over her constantly. Guess what? She never bonded with me. She has always preferred my husband. It broke my heart until I got Sugar. So I guess my point is, getting your girl older is a good thing. You know more about her personality and don't have to worry about surprises.

| Hi and welcome to YT. Congratulations on your new little furbaby. I can just feel the excitement in your writing!! Levi, our youngest little guy is 18 months old now. We got him last October when he was nearing 7 months old. We worried too about the bonding issue, etc. But we found out quickly that we worried and fretted for nothing. He made himself right at home as soon as we got him here and has been under foot ever since. We had no problem whatsoever potty training him to go outside. My husband was much more worried than I about an older puppy but after a few days with Levi he was very comfortable with the decision. It was kind of nice by-passing some of the real puppy stages if you know what I mean. Also he was very dark when we got him and still is very dark. The breeder told me he would probably get to be a dark steel blue and it looks like he will be in time. He's still very black for the most part and his little face is dark too and I very much love him this way. Best wishes and can't wait to hear more. |
