Hello everyone, we are new here. It is myself and my 5mo.old chihuahua Minka & her yorkie sister MiMi who is 4 mo. old. My question is 1st am I crazy because I am getting 1 more yorkie baby next week..eek...I am really excited, and it is completing my fury family. 2nd, I have noticed that alot of people here have multiple small dogs (yorkies) which makes me feel better. But little MiMi is really attached to me, and I am worried about her being jealous. Will she still love me? I know that sounds totally ridiculous, but I am worried about her thinking that she isn't my special girl anymore. Thank you for having this wonderful site for all of our ques. comments, & concerns.

Hi and Welcome to YT! I think that as long as you spend Equal time with ALL your Babies that you shouldn't have a problem with Jealousy among them. I have 3 Yorkies and 1 Chihuahua and thats what I do...

i hope that is true missy!! my son was getting ready to go to school this morning and he came into my office where romeo's kennel is kept and was playing with him and he said "mom ther is no way romeo is going to let you get another yorkie! he is so spoiled!" LOL i would never neglect him but i know a new baby needs a little more attention - i guess as long as my husband is around he doesn't have to worry!

he will make sure romeo is not neglected.

Welcome. I think you need to pay a little more attention to her when you get the pup, so she won't get jealous.

i think mimi will be excited to have your new yorkie around, much less feel jealous! it will be like having a new playmate! the jealousy might be there at the start, but they will love each other more than you think!

I have heard that yorkies like other yorkies, and I hope they will both be my girls. Minka, my chihuahua is a social butterfly

she loves anybody and everyone. Which is great because she plays with all the kids, MiMi is happy watching. I love knowing that there are so many of you that have more the one yorkie, and more than two furbabies. Yes my family thinks i've gone a bit LouLou, but I think they know I LOVE my pets, and they are a very important part of my family. My Husband on the other hand was not raised with pets so at first he thought I had pretty much gone crazy but he is adjusting...

...and I know he secretly loves the fact that our chi sleeps w/him to keep warm.
