Me and Sassy Katelyn Grandville! Hello everyone, I belong to several forums and just retired from moderating one with option to return, and am on vacation from another I moderate on. My new addition and the new complete house over haul has left me little time for forums. Yet here I find myself joining yet one more forum, exhausting! I purchased Sassy from a breeder about 100 miles from me. She had reduced the prices to sell since she was moving. She is papered-AKC! However she is not show quality at all. She might make a good breeder but we are having her spayed this friday as we don't want any thing to happen that could cause harm. Besides Spayed dogs live longer healthier lives. She is turning out to be a great addition to our family. Our main concerns right now is getting her through her Rabies shot this Friday and her surgery. Will be a long weekend I am sure. She can't climb or go down the stairs so I will have to find a way to carry her in which it will not hurt her. Or let her pee in the house and that would be counter productive to her house training. We will be doing the Frontline tomorrow. I don't know how to post pictures here so if this doesn't work sorry. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...Sassysiggy.jpg

Introducing Sassy Katelyn Grandville Sired by Cassinova's Grandville Dam Hannah Katelyn Born April 15 2007 Color Blue and gold on sale paper- Black and Gold on AKC papers (confused) Female Adorable as snot! Problems already: Hip displasia which I understood is common in these small breeds before I even got her. Snout is to long for show, floppy ear that might and the VET is confident it will, tighten up as the cartilidge hardens. Last and worst of all, she is to big for AKC show standards. She is only almost 6 months and already 8.5 lbs. Hoping one can inbed images: Don't see an upload button so here goes nuttin. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...Sassysiggy.jpg

ty all for ww. I chose a Yorkie because it is one of the dogs I was raised around. My other choices were a Maltese (littered this past sunday-not sure if there were any females) Pug, or a tiny toy poodle AKA the small ones everyone calls Teacups. I always wanted a Yorkie and everyone has been trying to steer me toward a Maltese. I wanted a YORKIE Dang it and I was going to have one. Well after going to the local pet shop and pricing them at $1750.00 and up I all but gave up hope. However being the net savey person I am I started on a mission and was determined to get what I wanted at a price I thought was reasonable if I had to drive to alaska to get it. Mind you I live in West Virginia and I don't travel well, and I don't drive! A friend from the parrot forum I use to moderate/assist on (retired for medical reasons for now but will go back to work soon I hope) sent me to some on line puppy finding sites. I found Yorkies all over the world but when I got to WV I found mainly Yorkies that were $3500.00. I mulled over the adds and found several at about $1000.00 and two at $850.00 more for females. Well I called one and they got back to me, and I e mailed them to set up a time to see the pups and they never got back to me. They wanted $1000.00 for a tiny female (3 lbs at 5 months old). Finally I e mailed the other lady and she lead me to the owner by phone call. I went and saw the one smaller male (4 lbs) and the female said to be 5 lbs) Well she grew cause she is 8.5 lbs. I got her for $500.00 first three sets of shots and my vet wanted one more of the 6/7 in one boosters so we did that yesterday. We are getting he spayed Friday and I am so scared of all the things that can go wrong. I would just die if anything happened to her. I already love her to death. I am waiting on my uncle to send me pictures of Grandma's yorkie Corky. I want to compare features and see if I picked a dog that resembles my corky. Corky has been over the rainbow bridge for a long time now, as has my grandparents and most my family. Anyway thank you all for a warm welcome. Cheryl Allen
