V, it is so good to see you here... being back here will also help you feel better, in time... I am very glad to see that things are getting better(slowly) for you... keep your faith and know that we are ALL here for you and so happy to see you! Maybe having your son in the house will help the girls too! Poor Cheri, I wish I had a cure for that.... Ah Vi, I just found this thread. I so glad you posted again. It's always so good to "hear" from you. I'm so sorry for your poor broken heart. I wish I could help you. It sounds like a good thing that your son is going to move home. Having someone around who loves you is a good thing. I hope things will start getting easier and the pain softer soon. I'm sad to hear about your girls and your cocker. They sure feel the pain don't they. My dad's poodle had a very hard time when he left. He was laying in the bed beside him and looked for him for months after Dad went home to heaven. But after time, he stopped and settled in. Your girls will too. Thinking about you and praying still. |

And poor little Cheri :( It's heartbreaking when they are sad. I have no advice for you about how to prevent her from running out. I have an exercise pen opened up and dividing my living room and dining room so mine aren't even near the door because they've run out on me before. And boy are they FAST! |

Dearest Villette. Remember sweet girl, "one day at a time". So glad you were able to get some medication to help you sleep, and please don't stop eating on a regular basis. With the rawness still there it's perfectly understandable to be feeling everything but strong....it's been nothing but a very long month of pain for you.. Sending hugs back to you all - Thank you so much - crying again but it's only because you all are so great - I really really appreciate the support - I'm still so lost without him I just don't know how to get thru some days and other days I'm in turbo mode. The girls are adjusting - Tessa has really latched on to me again but still looks at night for her daddy - just like her mom does :( |

Villette I'm so sorry to hear about your husband. I haven't been around much lately and just logged on today, I'm really really sorry. It's just about the hardest thing we have to go through, to lose a loved one and to lose the one that's closest to your heart is the worst. I'm sure it brings you some peace that you will see him again one day but in the meantime it's just going to take time to adjust. Villette, Most of us have never met you in person but we all feel like we know you through all your wonderful post and all you do for others. I was really happy to read your update. V, like others have said, grieving is a process and it hasn't been long at all for you. I remember after my dad died, I was driving past the Post Office and the man who was going in looked exactly like my Dad. I just lost it in the car that morning.
