I just found this perfect 3lb full reg Adult AKC boy , raised as a pet for $1000 & he is drop dead gorgeous. I want him...... Pic is tiny sorry.

I don't know if it is too good to be true. How old is he, and why are they rehoming him?:confused: he certainly is beautiful!:animal36

Sounds ligit to me. I emailed her & she said she had several emails & I was the only one who offered info of my family & living arrangements & she would like to see me get him because everyone else has just asked about his breeding performance & pedigree. So what do you all think. I wanted to fly to get him but its $1500 round trip, so I will have to have him shipped which I hate but she assured me its temp controlled on continental airlines. Do you see any red flags? She didnt have a website.
She is verified a few times on paypal.

Was the ad in the paper or on the internet? I would not trust sending my money anywhere. I would have to meet and see the dog and people first. JMO

Check if she is a listed breeder of the YTCA, and if she has references and paper work.

I would want to check out the dog in person, but he sure is beautiful and sounds great. I would definitely check out the breeder first.

Not to go off topic, But almost everyone that posted on your thread is from Ohio. lol

Where is she located? I don't know of anyplace in the continental US where it would cost $1500 round trip to fly to/from Ohio. You could always pay by Master Card (assuming she uses Paypal).....and if he's not what she says he is and you aren't happy, you could return him and contest the charge.

Hi, he's beautiful..........:D I hope this works out for you. Do you have anymore pictures? With so many scammers out there things like this are so scary. Could you maybe ask the breeder to send additional pictures and also tell her to maybe write your name on a piece of paper and put it by the baby boy and snap a picture. :thumbup: I'd say a pop can but too many of those pictures are out there and easy to copy. I think if she's willing to answer all your questions and do things like this, then atleast you know the dog does exist. As for sending the money and not seeing the dog in person. :confused: Just be very careful, which I'm sure you know already.;) Good Luck to you and just incase you don't know. He sure is pretty. I'd definitely thoroughly check the breeder out, and idealy I'd meet them in person to pick up the dog. I hope it works out for you:)

She's located in california. It would be $1500 thru continental for me to fly down & back same day, I checked that out myself. I did ask for more pics & am waiting, she does except paypal.

I checked into that but the flight costs more than the dog & she has assurred me he will be safe & comfortable.

How old is Alex? I think that is strangr that is not mentionedand from pass experience over 20 years ago once you have a stud dog they tend toy mark in the house even with a neuter? Are you willing to deal with that? My friend who raises Maltese has to leave belly bans on her studs all the time when her 2 males are in the house.Good luccck! His picture is cute!

Why doesn't someone in CA check the dog out for her to see if it is legit and then you could ship him if it is??

Hi, I'm in the San Francisco bay area. If he's in my neck of the woods, I'll go check him out for you. I also have a friend who is a retired airline employee that will hand carry him to your nearest airport for $350.

He's 3 yrs old. I have been involved in rescue for many years & have delt with many situations like that & have always been able to train, plus w/him being a inside dog not a kennel dog he should be pretty well behaved but its not a problem. Tilula wasnt trained when I got her since she was confined to a very small area at her previous owners house, it has taken some time but I can take her pretty much anywhere & be confident she will not potty on someones floor unless their dogs do it & she smells that and gets confused:rolleyes:

Good idea. Any volunteers to just call & try to set a appointment to look at the dogs. So many people will not let you come to their homes because of all the dog nappings. I am going to call & talk to her tomorrow. Hopefully I will be able to judge her honesty with a few questions and see if I feel she is legit. She's in los angelas

I think the flight for him alone one way to me is about that. I'll just email a few more questions & call her. hopefully it will be clear -she's honest or not. did you see the little tongue sticking out? I love that.

Continental is suppose to be great with pets. I'd go for it. He's really darling.

Another way to find out if she's honest is to email her and ask for more pictures of him.

I would be very careful. The picture looks like a Yorkie at least 2-3 years old. It looks like to much coat for a 16 month old. I would not send money and hope they are honest. Maybe try orbitz for a cheep flight. I wouldn't buy it site unseen from someone you don't know. Too many possible scams out there.

This is exactly what I thought looks older than 16 mos. I think it is sooooo important to see the dog, where they were raised and the breeder herself.

Megan has a great idea, if she stole the pic from somewhere she cannot send you more.....of course she could find more much like the above but that would be hard.

If you go ahead with it, I would ask for the phone # of her vet so you can check on his health. Good Luck from another member from Ohio.

My "scam" radar are up. I would definitely want someone to check this puppy out first before sending money....anytime.

too many are out there. They use broken english in places in their ad......that's usually a dead give away....just my two cents...

Tell her you have a friend in her area that wants to come MEET HIM and see how she reacts to that.. and that should tell if it's legite or not..and I'm sure we can find someone here to go look, if it's a go..
