| Sewing Help - Costume Head Piece I would really appreciate any crafty YT help on this. I am a beginner sewer and am about to start making a Halloween costume for Chip. I figure I can simplify it by making it in two pieces, the main body and a seperate head piece. The body I am pretty confident in handling, the head I need some advice. Do I use three pieces of fabric - left, middle, right, or should I do hood construction with just two pieces? How do I adjust for around the face and head? Also would it be better to hand stich fun fur or machine sew? I have considered buying a costume for him, but he doesn't quite fit into the sizing scheme used by the stores. If anyone has done this before and has a pattern in .pdf form or advice/tips that would be really helpful. Thanks in advance |
