| ![]() Well the title says it all guys. I got the results in and she has dd so diluted and therefore blue born. I am going to contact the breeder to ask for a refund of the cost to purchase her and NO she can't have my dog back. This is a woman who professed over 40 decades of breeding yorkies so there is no way that I would believe she wouldn't be surprised to see a silver newborn and she should know that's a cause for concern. No matter the results or the outcome with the breeder I am so very lucky to have this wonderful little girl in my life. Knowing she is blue born will give me the opportunity to watch for any health concerns that may likely arise. My vet has had three other diluted dogs and is very knowledgeable regarding health issues and care. Am I upset? Oh Hell ya I am very angry. I am angry that she lied to me, that she didn't care enough about Sophie to ensure that the person who would care for her would be up for the possible challenges. Sophie could have wound up in a shelter. She could have wound up in a home that wasn't prepared, able or willing to provide for a pup with health issues. She shouldn't profit from that. I wanted a rescue originally. I didn't rescue as I have three dogs and ones not a huge fan of strange dogs. I knew that he would be okay with a puppy and he loves her. So in a way I rescued Sophie and I don't regret it for a second <3 |

| ![]() I am so sorry to hear this, but at least you are aware and know what to look for, and your vet is familiar with cases such as this. Lousy so called breeder, she knew she had a blue and yet sold her, she should have kept that baby. She will continue breeding that pair, greeder not breeder.

| ![]() Oh, SweetChloe. You wrote, "My vet has had three other diluted dogs and is very knowledgeable regarding health issues and care." That is a comfort. I'm so sorry that you and Sofie have to go through this. Bless you for loving the little one. |

| ![]() Well I am glad she is doing very well for that then. I doubt you will get money back from the breeder. I personally would make sure to get her name out there though so people will not buy from her.

| ![]() Our Beauregarde has the nickname "the world's most expensive rescue dog". Unknown to us, he had been returned FOUR TIMES, and was 7 mos. old (not the 3 mos. old that we were told) when we got him. It took him quite awhile to settle in and trust that he had a forever home this time around. Our vet declared him unfit for sale...he had stage 2 patella problems in all four legs, had a hernia repair, and a huge infection scar at the site of his microchip. We argued back and forth regarding refund, and arrived at a 7-year health guarantee for future knee surgeries. He is now 11.5 years old, and has not needed any surgeries so far. He is slower moving, but still plays when his brothers do about every three to four days. He is not in pain, and enjoys life to the fullest. Sometimes bonds are instant and lifelong. I am so happy that Sophie found you, and know that her life will be blessed by having you there! Best wishes.
