Our vet declared him unfit for sale...he had stage 2 patella problems in all four legs, had a hernia repair, and a huge infection scar at the site of his microchip. We argued back and forth regarding refund, and arrived at a 7-year health guarantee for future knee surgeries.
He is now 11.5 years old, and has not needed any surgeries so far. He is slower moving, but still plays when his brothers do about every three to four days. He is not in pain, and enjoys life to the fullest.
Sometimes bonds are instant and lifelong. I am so happy that Sophie found you, and know that her life will be blessed by having you there! Best wishes. |
The instant bond, that's how it was with Sophie. When I first met her she was an itty bitty girl and so nervous. I placed her on the floor and kneeled down so my face was at floor level. She ran to the kitchen turned around, ran back, gave a little nip to my nose, made a cute little mep bark and stuck her butt in the air. I was smitten lol. I don't regret a day with her and in spite of her insane barking (in puppy school with private trainer coming in a couple weeks) she is perfect. No possible future health issues will ever change that.
It's awful what your little one went through! I am so glad you found him

Every pup deserves the love and care you have given your boy. Besides they give so much back
