| Nylabones Do you give your furbabies Nylabones? When I had German Shepherds my vet said not too because they would chew some of them off and eat it. Just curious. How about Yorkies?

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I bought the ones for average chewers and Cali started eating them so I threw them out and got the ones for strong chewers and they don't like them

No Longer a Member | I get the nylabones healthy edibles, Peanut flavor. Chloe loves them. These are made to be eaten. She can only gnaw off little tiny scrapes at a time, so they last a while. I consider them completely safe. She doesn't care for the turkey rice one, though. |

| We get them for Gracie and Hallee. They love them. We get the ones for the strong chewers. We have not had any problems. They seem to choke on the edible ones because they bite off the big chunks.

| We get the Durables for all three of ours. Gracie is a serious chewer and would eat the flexables if given the chance. We haven't had any problems whatsoever with the Durables and I really can't over state how much of a chewer that Gracie is. She has never done more than leave little teeth marks so no harm of her ingesting anything.

YT 500 Club Member | We bought one for Sophie right after we got her. That was six years ago, and she never chewed on it. Today, I have it sitting on an end table in front of a Sandcast Yorkie figurine.

| We have the regular nylabones, but get the "regular" or "medium" size since 6 lb Emma is a POWER CHEWER! We also have the durable Dinosaur Dental bone...they LOVE it and fight over who gets to chew on it...and sometimes they both chew on it at the same time! Here's a link to it! I HIGHLY recommend it! http://www.petedge.com/Durable-Denta...ne-TF22101.pro

| I have posted this before but will do so again to warn all of you regarding Nylabones. They are plastic and not safe for a chewer. If you read the back of the label you will see the the manufacturer states: Small fragments will come off the size of rice and "SHOULD PASS". What they don't tell you is these small fragments are like little slivers of glass and can do harm to your petin their intestines and stomachs. I have been there with Buddy so I know. My vet said he would never give a nylabone to any of his dogs. They are not safe. $2,200.00 later I understood after the fact. So please be carefull. If your dog is a chewer do not give Nylabones to him/her. The aggressive chewer, which Buddy was, is no better. Pieces come off. I had them all, in every color. I learned the hard way. Thank God Buddy was ok after 4days in the hosp. Better safe than sorry. |
