| Is this normal? I just brought Jack for his first grooming and I took him to Petsmart. When I dropped him off the lady said it would be about 3 hours so I decided to get a few things from the store before I went home. When I passed the grooming salon on my way out of the store I could hear Jack crying and yelping through the glass and I could see him freaking out. Is this normal? I expected that he wouldn't like it very much because he doesn't like being brushed but he never acts like that. |

| Hearing one of mine cry/scream in the background would have freaked me out horribly! Did you go find out WHY he was crying? Remember it's YOUR baby, and you have EVERY right to know whats up! |

| Was this the first time Jack was groomed? Teddy gets worked up if he sees me while he is being groomed and he tries to get off the table to get me, so I always stay out of eye sight. Your baby shouldn't yelp or cry while he is being groomed unless he got hurt. I would would check him over make sure he looks okay - no nicks, etc. Personally, I don't like to leave Teddy too long at the groomer's - I don't know why I am just not comfortable with it - with my first yorkie I had gone to a groomer who practically kept her all day and I wasn't comfortable with it. Thank got I finally found a groomer who gets us in and out - we are always done within an hour! Hopefully everything is okay with your baby and he just wasn't used to being groomed. |

| No, the girl at the register told me it was normal and that all dogs bark and cry so I just left because I couldn't stand to listen to it. And yes, it is his first time being groomed professionally but I brush him and wash him at home and he is always fine, just a little squirmy. |

| Sounds like maybe he was scared, or they were a little rough. I would find another groomer that would take their time with him. People here seem to have mixed opinions about the grooming at Petsmart. I would also wonder why on earth it would take 3 hours for them to groom him?

| You're a better person then me. I would have had to go to see what the problem was. I'd check him all over for nicks or cuts.
