I am sorry, but that is not true . The first Biewers had pedegrees from the Klub für Terrier aka KFT ( VDH/FCI ) where has stand that they have a wrong colour . The VDH didnt want to reg. these Yorkshirepuppies that have a "wrong" colour as a new race and Mrs. and Mr. Biewer started to reg. the puppies with the ACH-L as a new race "Biewer Yorkshire Terrier" , because this was the only club to this time that reg. this new race. 2 years after Mr. Rolf Beckel died , Dagmar was the 1 peresident of the ACH-L . She worked together with Daniela Braun and they opend 23.05.03the ( day/month/year) the 1. Deutsche Biewer Club , but after some time Mrs. Dagmar Pryzstaw leaved the 1. Deutsche Biewer Club , because she had personal problems with Daniela Braun . 09.04 ( month / year ) she (Dagmar) opend two new Biewerclubs the 1.Deutscher Biewer Club and the International Biewer Club ( IBC ) .

I am not a member of any of that Biewerclubs and i dont think i ever will be a member and i know many biewerbreeders here in germany that are not members of any Biewerclub . We in Germany have so many clubs where we can reg. our puppies that everyone can go to that club that they like . All clubs reg. the pedegrees of each other club ( ONLY the VDH/ FCI dont allow other pedegrees than FCI pedegrees ) . I really do not understand why the IBC trys to change that ..... .......?

Not only under the Biewerbreeder are troublemakers ... everywhere you will find them .....

And to the people that say that the IBC is a better because they only reg. Biewers .... i have to say that Mrs. Dagmar Pryzstaw also has the ACH-L that reg, all other races !

Kelly these are your words: The one you’re speaking of -- the rules were NOT changed to suit the president, (or anyone for that matter) and the dishonesty was on the part of a member who broke the club rules and started rumors about other members. She did not get “kicked out” she resigned after her lies were exposed. As far as treating members with respect, you have aligned yourself with people in a club who have no respect for any one.

There are at least 10 people off the top of my head that can discuss dogs sold sick to them, with bad bites, with LP, with no registrations, bred before a year of age, that all come from the club you so proudly praise. Folks cheated out of $$$.....

My message is do your homework; ask for references; google the breeders. Ask here on YT and other forums about the breeders you might be interested in.

I think the Biewer YT is nice but I would never want one and it is just because of the group that seems to own them. If the dogs picks up on your personality, I wouldn't want to live with one.

BanaFan on all other threads is well respected and always in there to try to help someone and answer a question that has been asked but I see this for what it is. Someone pointing out to you how childish some of you are and you just can't take it.

If you go to the archives, you will see many Biewer threads and they all are like this, one as I remember with over 200 posts if I remember correctly...it was a long time ago.

That's all I have to say so bash me if you like.:(

Its not only in the USA that Biewerpeople are fighting all the time .. the same here in Germany ..... but not so extreme like in the USA .

Yes Dee, those are my words. I remember writing them. And, there is nothing that I said in there that is a lie. I never named names in this thread, nor made it personal. You've done that. Regarding the "incident" in question, I repeated nothing out of context, I simply said what was told to me. I was not speaking for anyone but myself. If I needed to address this with you on a public forum, I could have done so when you posted an earlier thread here on YT regarding this very issue. You were very willing to discuss me and refer to me in that thread. Is it okay for you, but not for me? I supose I could also use your words "I speak the truth, but you are not my spokesperson."

As far as your 4th paragraph... let's not even go there. For every stone you have thrown, remember, they can be thrown back. This thread was started asking about a particular club. I merely shared more information for the OP to take into consideration. I pointed out where misinformation had been given. Plain and simple, I did not start this battle. Unfortunately, any valid information is now buried under a pile of unnecessary attacks. But, that was probably the point.

I would like to appologize to the members of YT for my part in causing this thread to go the way it has. It was never my intention to bring the politics of the Biewer world here to YT. I just wanted to give the OP -- along with anyone else who was reading this thread to learn about this beautiful little breed -- additional info and sources to look at, as well as explain where misinformation had been given.

Unfortunately, it was unable to be kept to an informative thread, and has turned into a battle. Please do not let this thread, or threads like this discourage anyone from the pleasure of this little dog. I will reiterate what has been said -- thank goodness their personalities do not reflect the negativity you have seen here!

I'd like to thank Michael for his insight and information that he has shared here... it is very much appreciated!

Hopefully in the future, the battles will stay off of YT!

Biewers are such a beautiful breed. Its new. There is soooo much to learn. Its a shame how some people feel they need to have power over everyone, and tell people that if your dog is not registered with one particualr regisrty, then its notgood enough or whatever. There are many registires who have no problems with you registering dually. In fact, most encourage it!

I find it very saddening with all the cattiness of this breed. There are sooo many wonderful people, (pet owners and breeders) who are doing everything they can for this breed, that when there are immature people who come on here and start insulting others breeders and owners, it ruins it anyone who may one day want to own a biewer. It makes me sick to my stomach.

To anyone and the op, who is looking into this breed, DO YOUR HOMEWORK! I would be very wary of anyone who says that their club is the best and equivalent to the AKC. There are some people that you just cannot trust. And WOULD NOT TRUST! Some people are only in this breed for money and greed. There are many wonderful breeders and fanciers! And the members of the BBCI and the BYNTC are a great place to start! JMHO!

I did not state that American is the way to go. I do not have any of my Biewers registered in the US! I have dogs registered with IBC (3Biewers), HCLB (1 Yorkie), ACH-L (2 yorkies), WRV (1 Biewer), URC (1 Biewer), APRI (1 Toy poodle), 3 unregistered (1 mutt, 1 Anatolian shepherd, 1 yorkie) Plus 7 puppies that will be registered with IBC

You gave only partial information when you told them only 2 clubs to check out.

Yes, I belonged to two groups. The first one I was told to leave by the people forming the "new" club, so I aligned myself with the "new" club. I can tell you what rules were changed and why, but I will not do that on a public forum. I can also tell you how I personally was poorly treated while I was still a member and recently at shows. I can tell you of lies that I was told and how I found out the truth. But again, not on a public forum. The people you say bicker and backstab have treated me tremendously and at this point if I do join a club it will be theirs (Funny it is the first club I belonged to, but left because of things I was told.) They made me, an outsider, feel like I was welcome at their specialty this last spring. For all they knew I could have been a spy for the "new" club.

Sad to say that the OP was looking for information. I gave what information I knew and think that people should be aware of. I have always told ANYONE that asks me about US clubs that they need to go out and check them out for themselves. Even though I myself have pulled from the two clubs, I have not told anyone to not join or check out these clubs. The world needs and thrives on variety, just sad that it has to have the bickering.

I have 3 splitters. Won't call them F1 as that is what the very first Biewer would have been called. My splitters have one Biewer parent and one traditional yorkie parent. My splitters were imported from Germany, not the product of US breeding. Cannot make a comment on BYA, as I am not a member or have any dogs registered with them.

I googled the BYA and they have a website with all kinds of information if you wish to read it. Hope this helps you, and if you're looking for a Biewer I hope you find one. They are wonderful and sensitive loving animals.

Oops!!! I lied!!! SORRY! I have 4 splitters, not 3. The 4th one is a 6 month old neutered male that is looking for his perfect home. Cannot accuse me of being a puppy mill!! He would have been gone a long time ago! Besides he and everyone else lives in my house. (Except Emma, the Anatolian Shepherd. She has an important job to do outside, so she has to stay there!)

I went on the BYA site and found it very interesting that their standard is very different from the other clubs and also the original standard. It seems that they have a much more lenient and expanded standard.
