| Toys Not Made In China In light of the toy recalls I thought we could share with eachother the toys/brands that we know are not made in China. So far I have, Toys in the Kong range Toys in the Orbee range. Please add so we can all learn what is safe for our babies. When I went through the toys we had a total of 56 toys and only 4 were not made in China |

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Thanks for this. I didn't really think about Lulu's doggie toys in light of all the item recalls due to lead paint. Thankfully she only has the rubber chicken that is made in China and she doens't give two rats patoots about it. She prefers her soft toys.

| Great Posting! My guys only have plush toys. I threw away all plastic type a long time ago. Now, on a side note - Have you checked out your own Human Dinnerware? All of my plates are Made in China. Most of them are the expensive hand panted ones and still....Made in China...What to do? |

| I think the plush toys need to be suspect as well. I believe one of the toys tested from Walmart was a plush one. What's even more upsetting is that most of the sites don't tell you if the toy was made in China or not. Planet Dog has a squeaky soccer ball, but it's 5 inches. That's way too big for Gizmo. So we're still on the hunt. I found a couple of soccer balls, but not any others that squeak.

Some of the kongs ARE made in China, but according to the company they do test them and they are safe. Hmmm.... I don't know about that. See the article I posted here: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=95139

| well now I know what made our jack russell sick, air kong tennis balls, I have a hyperball sling hot but I have been using the air knog balls because they squeak, Gracie starting throwing up and just laying around not common for a jack russell breed, these balls would get so wet from there mouth that when you sling it you could see the slobber comes off the balls, I did notice a smell from these balls but didn't think much about it because they were new, she was down and out for a couple of days, Millie the lab has not been acting right either come to think about it and all she plays with is tennis balls, I need to go walmart and check and see where these other tennis balls are made. I thought Knog was safe. thanks for the heads up on these. |

| Has anyone heard a definitive answer about "Hide a Squirrel" which is made in China? For now I have put Sadie's away - until I hear further info. Yesterday I had to throw out her very favorite toy - a rubber squeaky hedgehog (made in China). It broke my heart because she was watching me put it (and several other toys in the trashcan) and tried to grab it out of my hands.
