Toys Not Made In China

It broke my heart to go through their toy box...it is practically empty I hope the plush toys are ok as those are the favorites. Guess it will be homemade from me from now on. I would think the ones with the paint on them would be the only ones that might be toxic. Does anyone know about the plush ones? My girls love the hide-a-squirrel but i have put it away. It was sad to see the girls try to grab everyone of the toys that i was putting in a bag
I'll be interested in only toys made in the good ol' USA or hand made from now on!! I think most everything from WM is from China.

About 2 weeks ago I did some research on US made toys. I had posted the information on another thread at that time. But thought it might be worth repeating, since there are so many different threads on this whole toy mess - not sure who has read what.

I just googled US made dog toys and found this site:

those kong toys that I've never bought are on there. Also Nylabone, and Jolly Pet. Be careful, those it looks like only toys on that exact page are US made not all the toys on their site.

Also, found these 2 sites with only US made toys: http://www.westpawdesign.com/ - cute, cute stuff

Thank you SO much for posting this very important information. I have been so concerned about Mango' toys, she plays with them constantly and I was wondering what on earth to get her when replacing those that went in the dumpster.
The information about USA made toys is SO important, I think Admin should consider making a sticky about this, allowing members to add to the list of locally manufactured/safe toys!

I think that they knew it all along!!
I just went through my drawer of toys that still have tags that I was saving for later. All made in China! The interesting thing I found was that 3 or 4 of them said "For dogs only". Hmmm... Does that mean that they knew they were dangerous for kids? Sounds like they knew this all along! It is not like they have dangerous parts that could come off or anything (thus not being safe for kids). I am really angry!! I have tons of old and brand new toys that are not usable!!

Planet Dog has a squeaky soccer ball, but it's 5 inches. That's way too big for Gizmo. So we're still on the hunt. I found a couple of soccer balls, but not any others that squeak.
