| JD is doing the same thing. He started out black and tan then changed to blonde and silver. Now at almost 3 years old he is getting a lot of black throughout his silver. |

| Buddy has done the same. He went from blk/gold to silver/gold and back to blk/gold with some gold highlights on his back if I left the coat grow in. They are like camielions aren't they? He appears to have finally stopped changing at 3yrs old. |

| Coco was blue streaked with quite a lot of silver when she was younger, I had her almost shaved two years ago - all the hair on her body grew out black. It also became much silkier. Coffee seems to have a lot of " new" hair growing out, it is also becoming very black. Very strange! Carol, other than the puppy days, don't you think 3yr old yorkies are just the greatest? Both of mine are 3 and I am so enjoying this stage. (sorry to hijack the thread!!)

| Penny's hair is staying black although I thought it was going to change to silver when she got her first haircut. Now that it's growing back it's turning a dark black again, and my Piper boy is tan and all silver.

| I had no idea they would keep changing for 2 years. Teddi is almost 1 and I thought she was done changing colors....I guess I'll have to wait and see. I need to take some new pictures tonight.

YT 500 Club Member | Mine is now six and has finally stopped changing. It was so strange to see such differences over time. Are Yorkies the only dogs that change color. I think it is so neat that you can't tell what they will look like (color wise) as adults by looking at the puppy.

| Max is 17 months old and his head is gold, as are his chest and legs, and one cute streak in his tail. I've just begun to notice that his black body is beginning to get grayer. I love the black, but you just never know with a Yorkie.
