How old is Chewy ? Gioia was a "terrorist " for the bows. As soon as she was alone she took it off and I could her a little grrrrrrr and she made sure she chewed it so bad that I wouldn't be able to use it . Last edited by Olivier; 06-22-2005 at 11:39 AM.

| I have put Matise's hair up since day one. He has so much hair that you can't see his cute little face! I use the latex bands from the baby section in Target. Then I put a decortive bow over that. The latex band holds his hair and the bow looks pretty. He likes his hair out of his face so he never takes it down. You know both male and female show dogs wear their hair up. I included a link to Matise's dogster page so you can see his topknot. I guess he is a mess and has so much hair because both of his parents had a lot of hair. They were finished champion show dogs. Sometimes he looks like a little monster. I will always put his hair up and I will never cut it. He is just so beautiful! Sorry to gush I just love him so much!!! | Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Chewie is TOTALLY adorable !! He has alot of hair like my Chanel did at that age !! I love his hair up - When you do a bow for him ....just wiggle it a bit to make sure its not too tight - if it doesn't move or give ...loosen it - Imagine your own comfort zone with a ponytail - When you finish - DISTRACT him for a few minutes and he may forget he has this 'thing' on the top of his head....He is really cute ! |

I buy my little latex bands at the nearest dollar store in the hair products. Lady has short hair on her head because they pull on the bands until they twist up the hair and pull it out or break it off. Lady is almost 17 months and look at her hair: The hair on her body must be 6 or 7 inches long.

I get the latex bands at Target in the hair section or in the baby accessory section.

Matise just turned 10 months on the 16th his hair is almost completely touching the ground. I had a Cocker that had a brief show career and I always kept her in full show coat and I am used to all the grooming, I do it myself so I am definetly going to keep Matise in full show coat. Both of his parents were finished champions as well as both sides 4 full generations back. You can go to an AKC sponsered show in your town and speak to the handlers they are usually very nice and can answer your questions about their dogs and the products they use. I included another pix of Matise. and his dogster page http://www.dogster.com/?146767 Kara Last edited by kara; 06-23-2005 at 06:26 AM.

petedge.com has the little hair bands and they also have ones with bows. I order the bands from them. I feel that they are pretty cheap. I make all kinds of bows out of ribbon that I buy cheap.
