| Having a tough time with Kalina & otherwise Hi everyone, I am having a pretty good time in Florida, except for the problems with Kalina. Day one she was just fine - airplane ride, etc. went great. I immediately went to one of two places on the island that have the raw food I feed her and bought a bag. Fed her. The next day she started vomiting. I checked the bag and the date was expired. So, I made her some steamed chicken and returned the dog food. I got another bag of the dog food, but the date was good. She wouldn't touch it! I had also bought her a little stuffed flamingo. She ate the homemade chicken all day and was fine. Under the sofa she found a rawhide chew that was left there by our housekeeper's dog!! She seemed to be enjoying it, so I let her have it. Today she started with the vomiting again!! All the chicken she had for breakfast came up and she was panting and breathing really heavy. Just as I was going through the phone book looking for a Vet she started to perk up and has been fine ever since. I threw out the toy, rawhide chew, new bag of food and I'm starting her on steamed chicken and brown rice. I don't know what else to do. I'm worried.

| I would just feed her the chicken and rice and see how she does. You can also give her a little bit of pepto bismal. What part of florida are you at? I will be in Orlando in 4 days for 15 days. I cant wait

| I would just keep her on the rice and chicken. She's probably just shaken up from the plane ride. My dog used to act differently and not really eat when we go to new places. I guess it just throws off their equalibrium or something. lol. As long as she's doing ok on the chicken and rice, I'd just keep giving her that... at least for a week until her tummy gets settled. If you need anything, let me know!

| Put your baby on real food and keep her on it. Most of the health problems we see in dogs are caused from feeding dog food. |

| Harley and I flew two weeks ago. He did really well during the flight. Once we got to where we were going I figured he would be hungry, since he hadn't eaten anything. Nope not so much, and when he did eat, he threw up. He was fine later though. I really believe it was just the flight. Harley and I hope Kalina feels better soon! ( Kalina what a beautiful name!)

| We're on Marco Island. She is feeling a little bit better I think, but I thought so last time and I was wrong. I gave her some chicken and rice and she ate about half of it. Thanks everyone.
