| Something I have been thinking about is that everyone is blaming China for this. I can see why you would but truthfully it is the rich western countries to blame, companies like walmart put pressure on these factories that are full of desperatly poor people to make cheaper and cheaper products so that they can sell them at lower and lower prices to their customers, who are looking for a bargain. Eventually to make things so cheap there has to be a fault. Its a vicous cycle.

Even those very soft brown beds that fit in crates from Walmart - MADE IN CHINA! I don't know if I want my puppies laying (and chewing) on them...I have a medium sized pink stuffed pig from Wal-mart that is also made in China. All my zanies (Pet Edge) are made in China.

| I will be washing all of our plush toys in the washing machine tonight, and running all hard plastic toys through the sanitize cycle in the dishwasher. I don't have any of those rubber/latex toys, so I'm not planning to throw anything out yet (except the toys they've chewed up!).

| I just went to Petsmart to read labels. EVERYTHING was made in China...including the kongs, stuff to go in them, everlasting treat balls, every chewy, every plush toy, every laytex toy. EVERYTHING!! It just made me sick!!! I did find a nylabone flavored chewable bone to buy that was made in the USA but that was it!! I took the girls with me and we enjoyed the doggie zoo but i'll just have to start making their toys from now on. This is getting crazy!!! I asked the lady at checkout if she knew of any toys that were made in USA and she shook her head no. She also said that they were getting tons of people asking the same questions about the China toys. i swear the Chi Coms are trying to kill us and our pets!! |

| I threw away all plastic toys a long long time ago. However, the only thing left that is not plush is one Cuz toy - I have no idea where that was made??? anyone We have lots of the plush toys left - which they love - I hope that these are safe. None really have tags left b/c I cut them off way back in the beginning. This is just beyond disgusting. But, if things are coming up in 'Childrens' toys and clothes THAN you do know that there is absolutly NO WAY that they care about pet food and toys... ...Oh and don't forget how they do eat cats (and probably dogs too) over in some parts of China (this is fact) |
