I'm glad you picked up on that. How does it feel!

I am sorry that these ladies were picking on you! What you do is your business whether its right on wrong. I knew that this would end up a mess and its not right. She posted anonymously on craig's list for a reason and chose to talk through emails, her personal business should have never been made public.

No one is perfect on this site I don't know why they pretend to be. Those who love in glass houses should not throw stones... and Like my momma said "Dont start %$#% wont be no %$&%."

How does it feel to me? It wasn't my dog you insulted. I just think it's immature and just plain mean to stoop so low as to insult someone's dog. What did the dog do to you? It's a little hypocritcal to tell someone else to grow up and then turn around and do that. If you want people to respect you and your opinions, that's not the way to go about it. And, honestly, anyone who can insult an innocent dog cannot be a true dog lover. JMO

But, that's not the subject of this post so......carry on.

hi

im not trying to pick or start anything but...my opinion on that is i can come up with funds to take care of my dogs mainly because i have that carecredit, and if im in a cruch i can come up with the funds, but coming up with 1500.00 just for the dog can take most people time and i dont think that money should determind wether not you should have a yorkie. i get the feeling that most people who have yorkies think they are only for the wealthy and those people need to get off their high horse

and adopting can be just as pricey and extremely hard to get approved for

First, i just wanted to say I never posted that with the intentions of being mean(i tend to be sarcastic and when i type things, sometimes they sound different then how i mean them) i try not to judge people and am open to hear what others think-so i dont want anyone to think i was judging the lady who wanted the yorkie, on craigslist. Im sure she WOULD love the lil one, but this is where the money thing comes into play.. I DONT THINK yorkies are only for the wealthy, by ANY means!!(I, myself am young and have only been in my career for a couple years-so would be the last one to think that AT ALL!!)
..BUT yorkies ARE expensive-and i know where i live there are many people selling yorkies for lots and lots of money(even when they aren't registered, etc. :thumbdown) so adoption would be her best bet..(i realize you need approval and it still costs money, but almost all the people who are personally re-homing their yorkies, still ask for an adoption-type fee, as well.

My point is there are many people that would LOVE to get a free yorkie(but really how common is that?? and if its a puppy, like she wanted-she is going to have vet bills, etc. just for the basics(even if she has an insurance type program it still costs money) I dont know the lady-and i hope she finds a dog to love.. but i thought her post was kinda far fetched. Kids(who alone, are expensive) mixed with such a tiny dog?? (i dont judge and never once thought she wouldnt love the yorkie, just that it probably WOULDN'T happen for free..She shouldn't really be so picky.. a "mini yorkie", because we all know standard yorkies are huge!! :) hehe.(see my sarcastic, smart a** self-comes out again.
i thought it was a random post-sorry if it was taken the wrong way.

If she would do that to her kids that she gave birth to, what makes anyone think she would be good to a dog?

i understand what you are saying and agree that the chances of getting one for free are very very slim!!-even if someone gave her the dog for free(why are they giving it up in the first place?)
i really dont think she WOULD sell her home-but lots of money would probably be spent and maybe even rehoming the dog(again), then everyone would be in a worse off situtation(kids and owner, sad with plenty of bills) For all i know this lady could have plenty of money and be able to take care of her kids, the dog, etc. but then why wouldnt she just save up for a little while, then get one.(or like i said before, not be so picky with her request, etc.);)

MsWings i dont think that post about the $1500.00 was towards you, someone earlier posted basically said that if you cant afford $1500.00 for a yorkie look for another breed... i just think thats a little snobby im sure she didnt mean it that way but thats how it appears in the post

"someone earlier posted basically said if you cant afford $1500.00 for a yorkie look for another breed..."

..if this is part of what i posted earlier, i never once said that if you cant afford $1500- for a yorkie then find another breed!! i COMPLETELY understand you can find one for less money and LOVING the yorkie is the most important thing!!-but that goes with putting the best interest of the dog (and kids) first..
It's still going to be expensive(unless you adopt or re-home someone else's yorkie-but then you very well could be paying much more if the dog has any health problems, etc.) and a very small yorkie is alot of times even more money with the vets(even when they are healthy, there are more scares..broken bones, collapsed tracheas, etc. etc. etc.) Plus getting a yorkie for free is rare-let alone a very small one(as she requested a "mini" )

Basically I am not snobby and never said anything that said to get another breed if she doesnt want to pay $1500-, i am almost postive she is not going to get one for free though.

Like someone told me, you never know what you can get or cant unless you try. Maybe she will get lucky and a breeder will have a dog they cant sell in her area and place it in her home. In most cases there is always a need and there is always someone who can fill that need. Maybe someone will see the ad and offer her a dog she can afford or some kinds deal so she pays 100-200 so that the breeder gets some kind of compensation. We don't know what will happen so who are we to judge her?

On the other hand we start gossiping about another poster on Craigs list asking for another dog to mate and instead of offering good advice in a positive manor people start harrasing the person and posting personal information making that persons first experience on this board a nightmare.

Who are we to pass judgment on people?

Like you said even re-homing people charge a arm and a leg these days, to the point the it shouldn't even be called re-homing but rather re-selling!

There is so much messed up stuff that goes on in the Yorkie world i turn a blind eye to it cause i know i don't have the answers to what i feel is wrong.

But the answer to this thread i feel, is mind your own business.. that is why i posted. Thas just my opinion. Even with the subject of the OP.. u can catch more bee's with honey, or is it flies? well who care cause flies will eat anything:p

God Bless yall

My initial post was because i had stumbled upon the craigslist ad(as i was bored), i saw this thread and posted it because it had to do wit the same site.(even though they were completely different topics) i didnt say anything about the other topic, because i am not a breeder and its not my place to say. Like i said earlier, i DONT like to judge and DONT like people who judge others either(everyone has their own opinions, are entitled to them.. and i think it helps us grow and learn as people in general.)

im Over MY PART of this thread. it was definately not a serious post that i was super passionate about or anything like that.. it was brought up cuz i thought and still do think it is unrealistic of her(the lady wanting the yorkie) (i, myself, could use extra money to pay other necessary things.. and that is why i have been saving money each month to get my Avery a sibling.. there are many people who would love to help out someone who needs to rehome their lil one, and i do realize that adoptions are by approval and still cost money as well. Like you said, re-homing is more like re-selling(i agree, its sad if done for the wrong reasons-which is alot of times the case.. but it can be used for some good, they may believe someone willing or able to put forth at least a little money shows their want and good intentions for the dog.)

Basically, i dont post for drama(or associate myself with that in everyday life).. i have a sense of humor about things, and also respect people for who they are and their opinions. If anyone was offended by my post earlier.. i apoligize-as it wasn't intended that way-my sarcastic sense of humor came into play and was read the wrong way (I however NEVER ever said anything about 'if you cant pay $1500- you cant have a yorkie'.-thats just dumb and isnt even what i believe(or said) by ANY means.) ANYWAYS-im OVER THIS. i like yorkie talk-it has taught me so much.. i enjoy sharing, learning, and meeting new people with a common love(our lil ones). so.. drama free i was and drama free i will stay-That is the last thing i need from somebody i have never even met.. and im sure everyone can agree.

I have a 3.5lb male yorkie that I would like to find a female yorkie to have puppies with. I love my yorkie and only want one puppy to keep for my own. He has a great personality and loves to play. Moose (my toy yorkie) is AKC eligible but I do not have papers and can not get them until he is fixed. Please let me know if you have a female and would be willing to help me out.
Thanks

If this is not true and You (the CL Poster have Full Reg GREAT:)) Problem solved. Do Please research breeding before you do breed. Look on here and see all it takes from the male ,female, and All the $$$$$$$$ it can cost. I think that you would be better off getting a another of the breeders pups. It would save you alot of time money and maybe the life of one or both bitch and stud and even puppies.

Sorry if others posted bad things.

Just so you know this is a public foum just as CL and It sucks but it is life.....

IF i was posting drama i would have said you you you but when i posted i said we because all of this made me think that WE are all better than this. Girl you really ain't gotta apologize to me I was just stating my opinion. You ain't hurt my feelins at all. I was just elaborating more on my thoughts. My thoughts may be perceived as like because they contradict the thoughts of this thread, but its just my opinion. I don't hold nothing against people the pattern of my post is that I make sure i try to speak up if i feel something is wrong or dehumanizing in here because if you take aways this thread and negative threads like this you can see that most people on here are passionate beautiful people.

At the same time i grew up an ugly duckling, I grew up being called an oreo, cause in Nebraska if your a good person you cant help but be friends with many white people(there are sooo many lol:rolleyes:.) I grew up with with a skin rash that bought negative attention when I was younger. I grew up not knowing a thing about a Yorkie. I am just glad that with my first email to be breeder she didn't go off on me for my ignorance when i mentioned studding and such. Because i have been on the outside looking in I tend to speak up when i feel someone is being treated in a way they shouldn't be, but at the same time I am a person that in real life can walk away respecting anyone who thinks different than me some people cant do that and that is where drama comes in to play. Look at Osama, we over here live and think different than him, but its not good enough for him to just share his way of like and thoughts with is, if we don't agree with him and change then he wants to kill us. Well sometimes thas what it looks like here on YT but not to that extreme.

When you say poor people cant get stuff for free, well i wasn't that poor but when my son was 4 we got free professionals swimming lessons with no strings attached I asked about pricing and was honest and said its expensive i could never afford it and few weeks later was offered free lessons.. So if you are passionate and honest and open minded and good hearted good things will come to you no matter how far fetched it is.

as far as the original reason for this thread.. well no matter what the reason some people took it wayy too far and probably hurt someones feelings in the process and didn't think twice.

God Bless Yall
Kisses!
